I was driving down the road to get some petro for the SS and this yellow gt pulls up beside me. It was a nice looking car with a slightly older guy driving so I didn't think to much of it. As we're cruising side by side I see he keeps looking at me like he wants to race so....I pace him for a few seconds then all of a sudden he hits it, I smiled and thought to myself taking off early is going to help. By the time I floored he was about two cars in front of me ,after my car downshifted and I went through about half of the next gear and shutdown I had about 3 cars on him. When we pulled up to a light I was going to have him pull over so I could ask him about his mods BUT he turned off and went the other way (I think he may have been upset). Anyways it was exciting that was my first race in a while.

 

Congrats on the kill. I had an interesting kill story last summer. I was driving with my friend and he pull up the a light and it is the all foresty type of area. A women in her late 20's pulls up. I immediatly look at the mustang and know that it is a V6. It was like an 05-08 or whatever, the newer style.

I am in my 1997 Trans Am, at the time only had a cutout, but now has full exhaust. I see she has two kids in the back seat. She is looking at me for whatever reason....

Light turns green and she hard launches....I am like WTF!?!? F-That

I floor it and am spinning the tires a bit, then I catch up like there is no tomorrow, and got even with her as she was still WOT, waved, honked, and kept going :-)

 

Nice kill. Some people who buy cliche cars with big engines think they have the fastest thing out there, but there are people like that with every type of vehicle, I suppose. Most just need to be put in their place, but some are cool about it once they find out where they stand.

Downshift he meant 2nd THEN halfway through 3rd. Halfway through 3rd in a 3spd auto with o/d is going pretty damn fast. Mine don't hit third WOT till around 90 with 3.23s. I don't doubt his story a bit because I had almost the same thing happen at about 65 with a douche in a 05+ gt 5spd with a 10-15mph run. I gunned it when he was at my rear tire and somewhere in third I passed his *** back and shutdown 3+ (looking for cops so didn't look really hard) ahead at around 130.........oh and my car was BONE stock and running 87 octane LOL!!!!

I am aware it was a 3v. That is all 05+ gt mustangs. I cleary state in my reply my experience was with a 05+ gt mustang.

His car is cammed so it is FASTER than mine. My car bone stock on 87 octane got 3+ so I don't doubt for a second 5. 05+ don't hang top end as well as they do at lower speeds. LSx=nasty top end for n/a.

You need to research a little more before you run your mouth man.

Ive been known to exaggerate a tad from time to time. Sometimes I beat a car by maybe 2 cars..but I tell people its a lot more to get the point across. I guess thats what all of us people with 12 inch dicks...well maybe 12 inches.

 

Homefry read his sig he has much more than a cam.

LTs or long tube headers if you don't know what they are. Tuning. Ls6 intake. lid. exhaust. Probably !cats. 3.73s. 3500 stall. etc..... + a cam.

There are some cam only ls1's make absolutely sick power.

Again I said it once and I will say it again. You are making your ignorance painfully obvious. I would be quiet if I were you.

Go to the internal engine section and look for some "cam only" cars.

Do some more research
