Again the OP's car is modded, kinda like the link above 5 cars isn't that much man. Think about it. If your front bumper is even with the back of another car's back bumper that is one length.

Say both cars are going 110 at the end of the 1/4.
A car length is 15 feet.

5280*110=580800 feet per hour /60=9680 feet per minute/60=161.3 feet per second. 161.3

15/161.3=0.09 seconds so we'll say a tenth of a second to go 15 feet. So 10 lengths = 1 sec. Might not be exactly right because both cars are accelerating but I bet I'm pretty close. Still doubt?

With the ops car and supporting mods, 100ish at the wheels, which is MORE than enough to pull buslengths on a stock GT. If you don't think so then you are in denial.

 

I'm assuming he was stock. I never got the chance to talk to him but I couldn't hear his exhaust over mine (although mine is fairly loud) so I'm assuming at most he just has cai.

 

well if thats accurate, then i can see how he pulled so hard. i didnt mean to get anybody bent out of shape. i just speak out when i think someone has exaggerated about a race cuz it annoys the hell out of me. i tell a race how it happened. always have.

Nice...but I wasn't looking at him through the mirror, and why would I need to exaggerate? I have a video of me getting completely demolished from a stop (before the cam), I think it's on youtube or streetfire. lol one of those. I don't like to exaggerate either guess that makes two of us.

Here is a STOCK camaro just like mine. It beats a new 08 gt in the 1/8 by a little more than half a second. With my math above that is around 4 lengths @ 90 or so.

If you keep posting in everybody's kill stories like this you will be labeled as a troll. Once you get that label anything you say will be critiqued much more than I have. It's a ls1 forum so your gonna ruffle some feathers when you show up with a cobra trying to defame kills (especially extremely feasible ones like the op's) As a matter of fact I think OP would run over a stock gt much much worse than 5 car lengths from 60-130. If anything he could be UNDER estimating.

i understand your reasoning for attaching that link, but we dont know if that stang he raced spun too much or not. we dont know if the camaro(slow89rs) spun too much. the only way that story would have a good meaning in this discussion is if the camaro and the stang both had slicks. THEN we would know how the camaro(slow89rs) would do against his friends stang.

 

i wont worry about that cuz im sure all the kill stories on this forum dont sound exaggerated. i speak out on the mustang forum when something sounds exaggerated just like i did in this thread, and nobody's accused me of being a troll, but maybe thats because im a mustang guy on a mustang forum.....lol

 

Lol I have had similar races.... Leaving "stockish" stangs like that. Especially if they need a tune up. Anyways i dont doubt what was said in his kill story. And im not trying to nock mustangs... I actually kinda like em. Lol anyways the truth hurts. I see the cobra in your pics... i want to point out that the cobra you prob drive is a hell of a lot faster than a gt. Oh and the smiley is something i liked, not intended for anyone on this thread.
