I normally dont street race but couldnt pass this one up.I was at Pilot truck stop filling up my Duramax 2003 silverado HD when two guys pulled up in a gas HD.We exchanged pleasantries,the driver asked how I liked the Dmax I said Best GM truck engine IMO.He said I almost got one but prefer the performance of the BBC 8.1.I comeback with hey lets run em I-70s right here.He looks at his buddy,laughs and says sure.We finish filling up and go down the ramp with me leading.We get on the freeway and loh and behold we have 4 lanes of open highway.We get side by side with me on the right and slow down to around 30 mph.The passenger counts to 3 and we hit it.He pulled half a length on me for about 1 second.After that I pulled away from him really bad,I lifted at 90mph and had about 7-8 truck lengths on him.They caught up after I lifted gave me a shocked look and a thumbs up.I waved back,set the cruise and went on my way home.2003 silverado hd crewcab longbed 4x4 Duramax.Only mods are THE EDGE HOT JUICE(aftermarket tuner chip)Amsoil drop-in air filter.

Agreed.I think its more fun outrunning people in the truck,than my car.The looks I get are priceless.
