+1 on Saleens. I was @ their facility last Summer, in Detroit (Troy). Saleen is its' own brand & is not limited to Mustangs. They told me that there are plans for working w/GM for Saleen products as well. Expensive as all Hell, but, first class stuff.
While there, I saw a GT40, a Saleen Mustang, a Saleen F150, a Saleen something like a Focus model, & an old school hot rod police car (model T kind of car) that was on display & had been recovered by local police in a drug raid. Also, saw their picture display of the TT-S7, new Saleen super charger model plans, & a few other car picture displays that I can't recall.
Once your car is sent to Saleen for modification, it becomes a Saleen w/ it's own model code...etc.. It will be nice to see what becomes of the GM plans. Although they have their place, Saleen, Roush,...etc. cars are not as bad *** as a purpose built, hard core, built w/ blood, sweat, & tears hot rod.

Hi, Thank-you
The car is built from the ground up w/ full sub-frame bracing, anti-sway bars front & rear, strut tower braces front & rear, full suspension w/killer springs, pan hard bars in the rear to help reduce wheel hop, 4-point roll bar, 5 point harnesses...etc.. The rest is in my signature. The C4 brake instal required almost as many additional parts as the rest of the car as a whole.
Car weighs an estimated 2,800# because of all of the added support. I need to find a scale to know for sure. It's pretty much a race car (road course driving) in a Miata shell.
Thanks again, we're off topic now so I'll end w/ I preffer Saleen over Roush.................
