They do take to mods well and dyno well, but the track and street tell the story.

I agree..100%. But those special mustangs look so good!! Especially the Roush Stage 3. I mean how often do you get to race? Not often...you spend the rest of the time cruisin...and a roush and 427 look good cruisin. At least as good as a C6 IMO.

Mustangs just aren't my taste, but I'd go with a 03-04 cobra over a GT500 anyday, but the "Blackjack" Roush I ran once was nice looking....slow, but it looked cool. Hardly a "nutswinger" for the LSX as I also have a SRT8 Charger and would love to have a Ferrari F430 .

On a completely different subject, I've wondered about your sig... haven't stock/stock-tired C6 Z06s put up as quick as 11.2s?

Actually, stock tire/stock Z's have hit the 10's a couple of times at over 126-127MPH. Mine is an stock ci LS2 on factory stock runflats. It's the only C6 (not C6Z06) to hit that ET with a N/A setup and on the factory tires.

Ok... well then wouldn't it be more appropriate to say "Quickest N/A, stock tire, non-Z06 C6 listed in the country?"

Damn, the Mustang Ladies Club is representing.

Speaking of the special versions of this gen Mustang, I saw that Saleen S302E and it looks badass.

lol i will agree that some portion of every car are a bunch of posers, more so then others,

however, everyone in this thread including myself are not nut swinging fan boys. some of us actually wrench and build our own cars, myself included, so think before you go running your mouth about this and that on an ls1 site,

thanks for agreeing that the ls1 is a good platform, the 32v is a better one if i might say so, but just not my taste,

Yea, I don't think Saleen has officially started rolling the 302's off the lot yet. But it definitely grabs me in every way a hell of alot more than any Roush made to date. The Roush is, pretty much like everyone here says.........pretty but slow (even the s/c ones).

i agree my point was that the lsx isnt the end all motor. some people on this board are blind to the idea that something can be faster. as far as the 32 valve being better im not so sure. both lsx motors and dohc motors are great but it would be better if you could sorta combine the two. lsx is great because of the amount of cubin inches you can generate. a dohc motor uses very good heads to compensate for the lack of cubic inches. also due to the design of the modular block you really cant do much in adding cubic inches just more boost. if you could get 400+ cubic inches and add a set of doch heads then youd be in business.
