Default vs. srt8 300

went to a big street race in my local area. I was just gonna watch the races at first. A few cars raced and then someone noticed my car and started yelling "Who drives the yellow cobra?". I went up and they told me that a guy with a 300M SRT-8 wanted to race me. I backed down but then my friends started naggin' me to go ahead and race so I did. It was a good race. We ran from a 20 mph roll. He pulled a car length ahead of me through first and second, third I started pullin' up even with him, I didn't beat him until 4th gear. Those cars are fast as hell for a 4190 lbs. heavy *** car. He said all he had was intake and some exhaust work. After that a guy in a stock mitsubishi Evo challenged me and I raced him. He gave me a car length head start from a dig. We took off and right away he pulled ahead a car length. I came back up and beat him easily at the top of second gear. After we parked, i went up to him to tell him good race and he pretty much gave me the cold shoulder lol.

Nice runs bro.

After hearing about those 300s I want to race one. I don’t have much trouble with the other SRT-8 models but I hear those are the quickest. Is that right? Dont they trap at 110+?

i dont know what they trap but they dont seem to be affected too much by their heavy weight.

Nice kill, what are your mods? (If any)

When I had my headers, exhaust, lid, and free mods; I raced a SRT-8 charger from 10-110 and put 5-6 cars on him. He had at least an exhaust and turned off rather quickly after we ran. Just for comparison sake... It was a beautiful though, black with black tint and some nice wheels.

Nice races. Too bad about the Evo guy blowing you off. You shouldn't have taken a headstart since it sounds like you would have caught him anyways.

If you ran a stock one, you would hand it its *** if you can drive. They typically trap in the 110 range, give or take.

The only supercharged one I've ever come across was at the track and he was trapping 120. If all you had was gears and a stall, you must have REALLY outlaunched him and he probably had no traction. A4 FTW.

Free mods are modifying the stock airbox a bit, removing the air and egr system, and I can't think of the rest right now, not much really...

They are awesome. When you have the Diablo tune/ CAI and the ESP totally disabled (most guys REALLY dont know how to do it, hold ESP button down while in park, running) the car is a big animal. It shifts at 6600 with the A5 and pulls like a mother. Sucks gas though.

I love the thing and I come from a KB Cobra.
