01SS beats 07C6!
sorry kinda long. i am on my way to work and pull into a gas station right off the highway. as i am filling up a nice silver C6 pulls up to the pump right beside me. two middle aged men in the car. the driver gets out and i tell him nice car. a ask him what year to find out if its a LS2 or LS3. any mods ect. it was a 07 C6 M6 with the Z51 package and a MAGNA FLOW exhaust. he was a real nice guy until he went to get into his car. he said "cute TOY you got there!" he pulled off, and i pulled out right behind him. i got right up beside him we were runnig right around 60. i motioned for him to race me. the passenger busted out laughing! i tried a few more times with no luck, so i droped back a gear and nailed it and pulled away. as soon as i slowed back down the vett pulled right up beside me. the drived motioned that he wanted to race!! he motioned to slow down to 15MPH the vett blew his horn 3 times and we took off. the start was perfect! we ran side by side through second. as i hit 3rd i started to pull him. by the top of 3rd i had a fender on him and by the top of fourth it was a little over a car length! i shut down shortly after hitting 5th at little over 125MPH. the vett got over and got right on my *** i got off on my exit about 3 miles later vett still followed and pulled into work about a mile after that. the vett pulled in right behind me. the driver and the passenger both jumped out and came over to my car. the first words out of the drivers mouth was how much did you spray? the passenger said it must have been at least a 125 shot! i just laughed and raised the hood and said no spray on this TOY! you got beet by a N/A SS!! the look on those guys faces was priceless!!!! dont get me wrong i love vetts and if i had the money i would have one but the feeling of putting those guys in their place was awsome! their feelings were hurt for sure! i bet they will think twice about the next SS they want to pick on!

But I, too, am confused. It's obviously an LS6 out of a Z06, but why the LS1 heads? Very nice driving, though.
Oh, and by the way, watch out if you run into him without his passenger, because an average male passenger might be the difference between your results and a tie/loss. But again, awesome kill.

thanks guys! and the motor is a complete LS6 out of a Z06 vett. the motor was bone stock. i put it in and ran it about 3 months or so and came across a awsome deal on a set of cnc port and polished LS1 heads. i know the ls6 heads would be alot better off but they were stock and the ls1 heads were CNC and polished so i did a head swap. it is still the ls6 cam and the set up right now has put down a best of 403RWHP! i still have the LS6 heads and plan on re installing them after a complete CNC port and polish job and see what kind of gains i get.
Good kill. Sounds like a very close race and I second the comment on him having the passenger. Still must be a humbling experience for him, though.
