That's the ZR1, not the Z06... and 305, you're telling me that a '96 Vette was quicker around a road course than a '96 Viper?

Z06 has a Hurst Shifter, the mild to wild exhaust switch, LG Headers and Tune, and dyno'd around 487rwhp.

maybe its just me but that seems kinda low...

we've had one here dyno 470 with a tune, and one dyno 497 with a CAI & tune...

just seems kinda low to me...

Ok why would GM give the Z06 more power when they have the ZR1 coming out in it's place? He said GM needs to give the Z06 more power, you took that a little to literal...

Thats funny...one with a intake dynoed 473rwhp right in front of me down in Florida at HP performance. I don't see one making over 20+rwhp more. But then again you can make a dyno read anything you want.

Both 2007 Z06's...Both on the same dyno with the same corrections...My friends made 455 rwhp bone stock...The other made 428 rwhp bone stock....

When your talking 427 inches and 7.0 liters well the variance can be huge...

Some gen3 vipers dyno 430 rwhp..Some dyno 465 rwhp....

My 04 auto vette dynoed 299 rwhp..Most auto vettes dyno 485 rwhp..

So theirs nonthing low about the Z06's numbers...They're average.

No... I didn't take it too literal. He said they should up the power of the Z06 to 550-575, and you said "they already have, it supposed to be 620hp next year." The ZR1 is being released next year, and it has 620hp. So I assumed (correctly?) that you mistook the ZR1's power rating for the Z06's.

The ZR1 is next years Z06. It's going to be the "new" Z06, I was just refering to the top-o-the-line vette in general. The ZR1 is going to be the top one, just as the Z06 is now. So if I said "GM already did for next years Vette" and just left out the whole Z06/ZR1 thing would there be any confusion?

I kinda see what you're saying, but the Z06 is still gonna be there... the ZR1 is just an addition to the lineup, not the replacement.

Sorry buddy but that is where the viper has the biggest advantage don a road coarse due to better brakes and the vipers will hold more g's in the turns.

The ZR1 is sorta the flag ship, the Z06 as I understand will be a more road course oriented car. So much as say Lambo has the Murcielago, its the Gallardo that you would actually want to drive around a track. Though in both cases the flagship would probably be faster.

And guess what that really means to us: Lots of second owner Z06s prowling around soon driven by people who will put them to good use. Scary. But cool.
