I am sure that FUIAMULTRAZ is fully aware that there are other cars out there just as fast if not faster than him and I dont wanna get in the middle of this war between the whole cobra and ls1 thing(s/c'ed and cubes)but i do wanna say that I respect cobras and their potential, I don't wanna take anything away from them. That being said, if you take the blower off the cobra you are basically left with a GT, that is just not comparable to an ls1 off the showroom floor and even bolt on vs bolt on. It took a blower to make it fast.

I'm all bolt-ons and no blower. I prowl Hillsborough sometimes too. Or shoot me a PM when/if you ever to BMP. I'm always up for a close race.

I raced a 350Z back when my V6 was flowmaster muffler only and barley got pulled by just half a car from 45 up to 95ish. not to impressive

No... GTs don't have 32v heads. If you want to make that assessment (for some reason), it would be either an n/a Cobra (with better heads), or a Mach 1. And Ryan, the only way a 350Z would be that close to a V6 F-body is if the driver left it in one gear the whole time

Yea, I don't see a v6 f-body being that close to a 350z. Those are some pretty quick cars.

Hey I'm Just stating what happened I have no reason to lie about it.

My buddy was in his GTP wanting to race a GT Limited with full exhaust to see where he stood and I was the follow car, and a 350Z came up on us and it turned into two races. Later that same night i got slaughtered my a 3000GT though

Ok I said BASICALLY you are left with a GT, I didnt go into detail and everything else. If you want to even compare a bolt on LS1 to a bolt on mach 1 and lets see which one takes the win, drivers being equal. LS1 ftw.

WOW man! Congrats!
It happened, don't care what you say. Driver could have been horrible like some punk kid taking out daddy's car and not knowing how to shift, or what ever. I never raced another 350Z in my 6 to find out. But I didn't lose by much. So I retract my statement about them not being fast, but not my statement about getting pulled by a 1/2 car

It'd be a damn good race, but yeah I think the LS1 would pull it out. And Ryan, I never doubted the fact that you beat a 350Z... but to base your entire opinion of a car on a race like that is awfully presumptuous.

The 5 speed 3.8L ones are too shabby. i bet they could pull away from an L98 IROC-Z for GTA T/A or even a L98 vette... with a little bit of mods or slap on a s/c'er from an impala, monte, regal, GTP... and those cars done up with bolt-ons and small pully or hit low 13s easy.

I know... i was only returning the favor guy Of course there is always someone fast... especially in FL where you can run almost and supped up hotrod on the street... a bolt on LS1 takes care of a lot of cars. and my 85Z has never lost a street race, even pulled away from a street bike. not saying it's unbeatable... but it would take a car that has had more than $20K dumped into it of just parts... b/c I have pretty close to that, though $2K was spent on a hood, all new weather stripping, ect.

Yeah the Y87 cars weren't TOO bad, but I don't think I've ever heard of one breaking out of the 15s stock, or trapping more than like 91mph. Which is not gonna be enough to enough keep up with a 350Z (even an automatic). When I was 17 I raced an automatic Y87 V6 in my stock Integra, got a bad launch, and still came around him by 80mph.
