No One to Play With Ok, so, just a pointless bitch thread, but...
There is never anyone to play with around here. Seems like every time I see an Fbody, Vette, or GTO I am either driving our Pacifica or headed the other direction.
If I am in the Cobra, they never mess with me.
I've seen two LS2 GTO's the past couple days when I was in no position to go after them or vice versa. I always think that would be a fun run. Even expecting that I would pull them pretty good, they should put up a good fight. There are also a blue million C6's running the roads here, but never at a good time.
I guess I am better off, though, since they are really cracking down on racing.

Don't feel bad I either can't find anyone to play or when I do they have the "Ram Air" stigma and are scared to line them up. I have had several guys say "Oh its a Ram Air I ain't racing that". Usually young guys in Stangs or Z28s. It kinda sucks.

nothing but rice in my area. they say they dont wanna race me because of the waste of gas for them. apparantly having "only 1 cam" and "no vtec" is slow around here

Might be just as well. My buddy from out of town with an '05 GT came in over the weekend and we were playing around on a sparsly populated 4 lane highway. We went from a 40 roll up to 70 since my fiance' was pinching my arm to stop (dangerous, right?). But anyway, 15 minutes later when we decided to head back the other way we saw 2 counties jawin' on the side of the road. One for each of us. They never bugged us since they didn't catch us in the act but I'm sure they stared us down as we passed with our loud *** cars.
This has been the only time he's come to town and we have not gotten caught doing something. We have bad luck like that.

Seems pretty lame to challenge a truck unless it's a Lightning or some other kind of race oriented truck. If the truck initiates, fine, but picking on trucks is weak action.

And I have the same problem. I'm always checking my rear-view etc. looking for a run. Usually there's too much traffic anyway. I pulled out of a local convenience store the other day with an Evo in front of me.. figured he'd wanna run since he had just been sitting in the parking lot with his pal in a WRX. No such luck... he took the first right. Oh well.

Trust me i know what you are talking about. Everytime i drive the mach i never see anything that is fast. And when i do they dont ever bite. I was next to a new Z06 and he would not even look at me. BTW where in charlotte are you from? I work downtown.
Most dudes in vettes are crusty old dudes who never want to race. They buy them to "look cool".

The only thing that ever wanted to race me was a VW Jetta in the 7+ years I've lived in Newport... and that was on the crappy roads we have here IN RI. Heck no ricers exist here either...

you mean you dont have a beater or a truck? A couple months ago when it was raining hard some streets in my area were flooded.....good thing i was in my truck or else i'da been screwed!!
