Slowwwww Lighting
Well this is the first time I going to post something but here we go i was coming home from the local street racing place because it got raided well anyways im at the light when this dude in a lighting not sure what year maybe a 01 or 02 pulled up next to me looked at my car and wanted to run but i didnt want to waste my time so i took off normal well anyways he paced with me but i noticed something on his truck that he was boosting big time cuz i could here there turbo pretty loud kind of intimidating but i had confidence in my z sooo i gave him a rev and he took off pretty fast for a lighting well anyways i floored it and took off after him i thought it would take a while to catch up to him but ohhh noooooo i caught up with him real fast and put a good 3 car lengths on him again im not impressed with ford well i slowed down to give him a thumbs up and a big smile but he did a dumb fly by guess he was pissed !!!!

Nice kill. I was pacing one last night and we finally got up to a light and his window went down. He said it was not much of use to run because I would kill him. I guess that is called an intimidation kill. Also, you caught him on the roll...definitely not their strong point. They are a little tougher off the line. They launch well for a 4500lb truck. ANyway, I always need a truck/SUV in my garage and would love to have that as my everday driver. Just can't afford it at this point.

Well, this is the first ive ever heard of a turbo "lighting", but i guess they are slow.

Actually, if it was a stock lightNing, it doesnt surprise me. Seeing as youre in houston, the heat and humidity absolutly kill the L's performance. Back when mine was (briefly) stock, i ran 14.1's in summer weather. NOTHING changed, in 40' weather i ran 13.5 with 3 more mph.

yeah i must of made a mistake about the turbo but i know it was aftermarket for sure. I dont know though i raced lightings on the freeway and well they dont beat me they do keep up pretty good for a truck i mean.
