Thanks. I never seen those cars run so I was thinking Cobra fast or better comming from an aftermarket company. It was fun I must say. I do like the way they look to.

No. They made many more than 427. 427 represents the flywheel horsepower. You can confirm on the roush website. i beleive the weight to be 3600ish.

Arn't these cars like $55K ~ $75Kish? I would never spend that on ANY Mustang. Sry; just my opinion.

Im going to put my car on a scale that we use to ship Cargo on military planes and see what it weighs. There isn't any weight reduction on my car so this should be good or suprising

I also had a chance to mess with a 427R. We were playing around and he passed another car so I followed. He stayed on it and I flew by him. We stopped and talked, checked out each others cars for a bit. He told me it was his wifes car. He also said that the computer stops him from being able to jam the gears fast. If he tuned that out, his warranty would be void.

So if he turns it off it will void the warranty? Wow never heard that excuse before.

I don't know from experience, but I've been told that any aftermarket tuning on a mustang ecm will void the warranty.

I would be suprised to see them limit a car they built for high HP and Speed. Can anyone vouch for this?

It won't void the entire warranty, but you can have a claim denied if they can prove your aftermarket tune caused the problem......or was linked indirectly to the cause of the problem. Having an aftermarket tune does not invalidate your car's entire warranty....for everything. I think it's illegal for a service shop to deny warranty repair wholely for the car just because it has a single aftermarket modification. The modification has to be linked to the cause of the malfunction or breakdown. That's how I've come to understand it, anyways.

My car shifted down into 2nd and we took off pretty good even though he got the jump. We started at about 45 mph and didnt take long before I started to pass him and when we finished at about 95mph I had 6-7 cars on the guy and he let off because I kept pulling on him I guess.. It's been a long time since I've done that but it was a good kill especially when the wife is in the car smiling. I thought these cars would be faster.

Jeff's Z28 +1 Guys Roush 427R -1
Yeah, those things look faster than they are. I raced the slower of my lt1 camaros against one on the street and in the quarter i won. He go pissed off and demanded a longer race, so we did 1/2 mile which he won by a few lengths. He had bragged that it ran elevens from the factory (knew that wasnt true) but when he took it to the track he was running 13.8 to low 14s most of the night, finally pulling a best 13.5. He was pissed.

Low 12's??? Uhhh......no. Nothing put out by Roush right now touches low 12's out of their factory.
