TA vs. S2000
I left work the other night from another long and frustrating day in the second most hated profession in the world(car salesman). All was well as soon as i turned the key on the ta and listened to the sound of a nice cam going through some lt's and 3in exhaust. I let her warm up and got on it a little leaving the dealership for the guys standing outside. Now, the last post i made on here was about my friends c6 beating me and i really havent drivin the ta since much less raced anything. As im easing on the interstate im on it pretty good melting the stress away and finally settle down at the 65mph speed limit. I see some bright headlights a little behind me and as soon as we made it through a known stretch thats hot with cops here he comes. Flies up behind me, chills for a min, then gets beside me. White S2000 with a huge wing, exhaust and prob nothing else starts pacing me. To be honest i wasnt really in the mood until he took off. I grabbed the b&m ripper and slid it into 4th. As the revs climbed i rolled back up beside him to let him no i was game but he wouldnt take off. For some reason people around here dont really do the 3 honks that much but after a min i started honking it off. Sure enough 3rd honk hes gone. My 4th gear around 70mph is where i like to be at anyways so i hit it, shift around 6200, hit 5th and shut down with him buslengths behind me. All in all i know it wasnt a good race but after the last one a win on anything will cheer ya up. Yea, long post i know but i should have some better ones this weekend.
Nice kill.
I did that once to a V6 Mustang. It was sad as I expected to lose, but didn't. Dead even from about 65-90 or so, then I just started walking away.
He thought I was actually racing and he had kept up. That's when I showed him six fingers and he didn't get it, so I dropped it to third and left him so far back it wasn't even funny. He wouldn't get next to me again.

Good kill, I guess. lol jk
I'm always worried that if i seriously try and race someone that's "slow" and just stay in 6th that i'll get pulled and they'll pull the ricer moves and speed off, like up to the point there's traffic or something keeping us from a 'real' run.

I havent done the leavin it in 6th or just goin to 5th instead of 4th since i had my lt1 car. It was cammed, geared, full exhaust, pretty close to my Ta as far as mods go and ran up on a clean dumdumdumdum on the interstate. I didnt really know anything about them at the time and ran up beside him, dropped to 5th to show i was game. He hit it and i followed with him pulling me and by the time i realized i should have put it in 4th it was to late. He wouldnt race again and since then ive always went all out. And yea i know it was an easy kill, my buddy with the c6 used to have one, stock with a cold air, and got pulled nasty by a lt1 6speed camaro with nothing but a flowmaster cat back. It was hilarious, he was upset.

Nothing puts a hard frustrating day at work behind you like putting some poor ricer in his place.....kinda makes you feel warm inside knowing you shattered someones fairytale illusions of what real speed is. Nice easy kill.
