They still have the hood and the dual exhaust...that's the only things I can think of to distinguish them.

 

Front fascia is different as well.

 

they have diif fron facia, hood, wheels, rear bumper with dual pipes, colors, lower side skirts.

 

You'll get him next time. Those 2.73s are definitely what's giving him the jump on you. 3.42s and you'll take it every time.

 

It def. wasnt a srt - 4 it didnt have the rims, front facia or the hood.... it has just a heavily modded sxt i believe the model is called.

I heard they had mitsubishi motors...any truth to that?

 

I'm just guessing all Dodge did was slap a turbo and IC on a regular Neon 4 banger with of course a few tweaks

 

It's a Mitsu turbo, but I believe the motor is from Dodge.

 

I think it is based on the old 2.2's from the Mitsu days but I think it was redesigned by Chrysler corp. I'm not sure of that but it would cut costs and make sense.

 

no they have completly diff motors. the srt were 2.4L motors and were takin over 400whp on the stock motor easily

 

Are they really? I always thought they were just redesigned Mitsu 2.2's, thanks for sharing. I guess I need to do more research.

 

ya i guess its not to much to brag about, but i owned one for over a year. if they were mitsu motors that would mean they had the same motor as an evo which they dont. heres a pic of my motor stock for proof lol.

Damn this reminds me, just a few week's ago. I stopped to put some gas, and there was a guy in a black SRT 4 Neon talking to his friend's. I hear him rev it up, and i was like "damn, that's a shitty exhaust" lol. It wasnt very loud, but as he passes by me. He rev's it up, and i heard the turbo. I was like...damn he'll smoke my *** lol I mean, im flat out stock besides the shitty Flowmaster and car's in need of a tune.

 

I liked the 95-99 neons so I know I would like the skittle even though I haven't driven one

 

those lil skittles can be quik some time...

 

i mean really you cant argue with the fact that all you hafta do is put a intake $200 wga$100 boost controller $150 and exhaust straight pipe $100 and you will make about 280whp which is about the same as a 330rwhp ls1 just cause the weight diff etc...
