I was drivin back from getting a movie with my girlfriend and i pulled up to a light with this black neon with no badges. from the back it had exhaust and a wing but thats all i could tell, so I look at my g/f and say its not even an srt - 4 so im not gonna bother..... the light turns green and the guy in front of me turns off and the neon starts pacing me, I didnt realize this at first until i hear his blow off valve which was very loud. It must have been loud for me to have heard it over my exhaust. we are doing about 50 which is my dead zone she doesnt really pull, and he punches it with me following and lets off at 70-75 with me at the back of his door. his was a manual also. we did another run but this time we went to about 80-85 and i was reeling him in and inching my way past him, until he let off. We never got a real clean long run but off the bat he would always take about a car and i would play catch up but he never stayed into it long enough for me to pass him. So I will take it as a death but I had fun and I now know i need to replace my 02 sensors and get rid of my crappy 2.73's.
One down at the track the other night. Got thrown off-no roll bar.....get this 10.02 at 140. I had no idea a front wheel drive car could get off the line like that.At least it wasn't no ricer

ya i dont have very much done, just a lid, mac mid lenght headers and LM2 exhaust, with no tune and bad O2's...... he was modded pretty good, his A pillar had gauges and where his a/c ducts r there were more gauges.he didnt get me by much, but did get me. I just wish we could have ran longer or from a dig.

Its amazing what a set of DR can do with a Boost per Gear- Boost controller. as i said before, 8psi hooks up REAL easy with a DR and from there its just like racing from a roll to A FWD car as it hits second and suddenly 23 More PSI shows up lol.
I keep saying and I'll say it again the Skittle death is the worst because it is so unexpected but those little bastards can be made stupid fast. I found myself in a sea of skittles the other day, they had a meet or something I was just trying to get some lunch, they gave me some props for my car and there were a couple that were pretty nicely done. One guy came up and said "Hey you have a nice ride and it sounds good want to run them?" I said i was game but i had to eat and get back to work. Probably sounded like a lame excuse but it was the truth. Come to find out the car runs high 9's low 10's with slips to back it up. I would of gotten RAPED. Glad I didn't have that scar on my ego.
probally a Gt35r or 40R turbo, most likely a 35r tho. NO budget turbo gets you THAT deep into the tens. seen a 10.6 on a ebay turbo setup ONCE or twice but most of them are in the 11s or 10.7-9 range ***** out mode on c16.

Of course, it could have been a debadged S RT-4......there's one in my area that's deep into the 11's. He even took the tall wing off, so alot of ppl get surprised when they try him on the street.
I probably wouldn't race one that didn't look like an SRT - 4. I wouldn't think it would be worth my time or the gas. Although, I did race a "pimped" out Probe from a roll once, lol. He tried 3 times and I didn't even have to go over 40, I was already so far in-head. It was pretty funny and he had a hot blonde in the passenger seat.
Back in MN there is a dude who drives a non-srt neon w/a turbo. I never got a chance to race him, but I have seen him racing people with the pizza hut delivery sign hangin out the window ;p

Not if it was a regular Neon. I believe the OP said it wasn't an S RT-4, IIRC. A regular Neon will need alot more help than a few bolt-ons to keep up with an LS1. More like a couple of bolt-on turbos.

my guess would be a debadged srt, its hard to make a crappy reg neon fast. alotta ppl rip the badges and spoilers off the srts, and most ppl dont know how to distiguish them without them.
