Default Dissappointed

I ran into a new shelby five seconds after I got my exhaust welded.

I just installed Jet Hot LT's, P&P TB, and GMMG...

Threw a rev at him, he followed me, we went down the street...

We went from a dig, and I spun my tires through first and second.

Tried again, and spun them again threw first. I was feathering it but God Damn those Headers made a hell of a difference. On a stock tune I am definately suprised at how much power I gained.

I'm kicking myself in the ***. I need to get out and play a little before challenging.

yes, the third run, I launched REAL easy, and started pulling on him, and we ran into traffic problems, and he just bailed.

Anybody want to sell me some Nitto's for cheap?

You are bummed because headers made such a difference on your car that now you need better tires?

I mean, I know you aren't bummed because you lost to the Ford. That should have been expected..I expected that GM would have printed that in all the F-body owners manuals.

Ha ! Nice Bill-ary avatar chase 22! Not a big fan of the Clintons, but thats funny. Anyway, to the OP, the Nittos aren't going to make as much difference as you think. After replacing my streets with the nitto DRs (305) first still spins like crazy when not heated up. I think you should CAM it!

Thats BS. Nittos work very nicely and will help tremendously with traction on a bolt on car. I remember running my nittos before H/C, and they hooked great. And nittos do not require heating like slicks. Sure it helps, but they hook without being warmed up too much. I do think you should cam it though.

No BS when I hit it in first, 20 roll or from a dig, car still spins and goes sideways (when tires are cold) . . . Oh wait, my bad, I'm sure I just immagined it then.

Guess someone's got a chip on their sholder today. All I meant was just adding the nittos isnt going to help the OP out run a Shelby. Yes, the Nittos will help out with traction, especially from a slow roll, But its not like adding the hp it takes to catch up with one. In my opinion Nittos are great tires in wet and dry, thats why I bought them, and when its time I will replace them with the same.

AND...?

Went from Nittos to MT DR's. Went from 2.0 60fts to 1.67's. And I'm a shitty driver with a slow car.
