My 315 Nittos hook just fine when they're warm. I would much rather have M/T's, but I'm not changing my rear tires every 5,000 miles on my DD.

In my opinion Nittos are great tires in wet and dry, thats why I bought them, and when its time I will replace them with the same.

AND...?
No chip on my shoulders, you said that Nittos don't hook and I am saying that they do!

AND...that should be alittle more power than you make and I'm hooking up the tires you said that you cant...sooooo

Anybody want to sell me some Nitto's for cheap?
if you started pullin on him at any time it had to be a shelby gt, and not a shelby gt500. just get some d/r and youll be fine

^Im thinking GT-H. Which is a cool car, but certanly not a threat to a hooked up LS1.

I DID pull on him, and it was the GT-H. Bitchin' car, but a cocky driver.

I'm only dissappointed that I choked so hard, it's like not being able to get wood.

However I am not dissappointed in the fact that the headers made such a difference.

I shouldn't trust a G-tech for hp & Tq numbers should I? Because I just found my dads in the garage, and I'm going to take it out and see what kind of time I put down... after I play a little.

My buddy got some Nitto 555R's and they hook, and last long enough for my DD.

Mine work great. On cold weather it does like to spin em a little bit but once they warm up, forget about it. The hook! Compared to my street tires that spun into the top of second gear on my 6-speed.

The Nittos definitely last on a DD. The MTs hook WAY better, but won't last very long. In these 4X degree temps, my Nittos won't hook in first or second gear unless I do a burnout and I make 400/367. Drag radials are meant to be heated up before racing, so you can't really complain when they don't hook while cold on a cold street.

I got a 1.78 out of my Nittos at the track when I was making 385/344 and trapped 112 at the time, so they are alright, but not an ideal track tire.

probably outta learn how to launch you car bud. I didn't say they "dead hooked in the rain". Any ls1 is going to have some traction issues on a non-prepped surface. You may have to feather it once or twice, but eventually you should hook (and that should be well before 2nd gear). You aren't making enough power to be bitching about traction anyway. Come take a ride with me. I will show you traction issues. LOL, the bitch don't hook till 1/2 way through 3rd on all weather tires. Looking forward to sticking some MTs on it though.

Why don't you try to twist my words around a little more there. . . unless it just makes you feel better about yourself. . . Bud.

Every cars Different, Ive seen a 14 second 350Z spin through 3rd on the street. And ive seen 11 sec camaros hook up in 2nd. Why even argue about hooking up. I figured everyone would know about drag radials. There a soft radial, very different from a usual drag racing slick. UNLESS THE NITTOS ARE HEATED UP they wont offer any better traction than a usual tire.

I don't know about you guys, but I think these fbodies hook up better than 3rd gen camaros, foxbodies, and a few other comparable cars. While drs do help tremendously, I hook decently on street tires from a roll.
