Driving out towards sf on 101south and a new m3 all riced out, lip hids etc etc, pulls up next to me, then takes off, i play catch up from about 80mph and pull up and signal for him to slow down...give him the 3 honks from about 50 and pull instantly about a car and a half. pretty obvious he just gave up. pulls up next to me again and signals for 3 honks again, so we line up at about 45 and i start honking it off...

****** goes on the first honk, so i punch it and just mob past him to about 130 by about 7 car lengths. rich kids and their expensive cars = fail

later that night i ran a friend of mines z28 with ms3, lts, ls6 mani and full exhaust...lil rivalry here lol

ran 3x and id pull on him til about 120, then his stock m6 gearing would take advantage of my 411s and hed start passing me. good runs though lol

finally on the way home started playing with a newer 6.0 gto through traffic and lined up getting on the freeway. launched in 1st, spun, shifted and tried feather 2nd, still spun, then missed 3rd completely. definite loss to the gto

good night overall thought. felt good to have the car up and running again after about 1.5 of problems.

 

huh? I thought the M3s were a little quicker than that, but good kill, glad to hear the ritch kid went down. Hate it when the high dollar luxury car owners think they are the fastest on the street, but I Love it when they go down to a car 1/4th the value. Another statement not to F- with American muscle!

 

haah nice kill. sounds like some new tires maybe? but hate when ricers pull up next to when you just know its not worth it. had that happen to me after i raced that porsche with a civic....? haha ya ok..

 

Well saying he was stock, and with your h/c. I think the m3 was an easy kill.

 

lol. especially with the 1 horn jump he decided to take.

 

unlikely it was the new m3 as they just came out in the US last week. most likely the e46 m3 which ended production a couple years ago. they only had 333 hp. the new one is a v8 revving to 8000 making 413hp. does the 1/4 in 12.5 @114 stock. so i doubt if your only making <400whp you would pull 7cars on the "new" m3 at speeds over 120mph.

 

I don't doubt it at all considering mods and power to the wheels + ricer prolly couldn't drive

 

Nice kills and loss. We have similar setups, similar power, and I had an experience almost exactly the same as yours regarding the gearing issue over 120 the other night with my buddy. He has stock 3.42s and I have 4.10s with an MN12 tranny, so as soon as I hit fifth, he started pulling because he was high in fourth. Good thing the quarter mile only takes me to the top of fourth.
