Default c5 vs. lightning (vid)

http://videos.streetfire.net/video/F...e-C5_92498.htm

This has probably been seen before but I was just a little curious to the guy that was commenting on the video saying that lightnings can run high 12's BONE STOCK (with slicks)?? I didn't think they were capable of that, so anyways...

I don't believe they are capable of that bone stock, I may be wrong but I think they're to heavy to hit 12's stock.

no but with cai, pulley, tune and slicks they will hit 12's. I guess that is near stock but not stock with slicks. A pulled tuned lightning is nothing to take lightly depending on what you got.

dang that vette pulled a 110mph trap while the lightning pulled a 103mph trap and the lightning still won. That vette needs to learn how to launch cuz thats a 12 sec car right there.

That was a damn good race. I, too, thought even with that launch the Vette should have come around, but the Lightning had a great run.

This vid is a great example of how the driver mod is the most important and can be the biggest factor in any race, on the street or at the track. Just because some car/truck that SHOULD be slower won the race doesn't necessarily mean the race was BS.

Cars don't drive themselves.

I agree.^...I've outran many cars that I shouldn't and if the driver was even a little better the outcomes would have been different

I'm from the Shawnee area, although I did live in Ada for about 5 years.

Stock from the factory usually will run mid to lower 13's with 'really' good traction - 12's usually takes a pulley and a tune.

500lbs of torque off idle + Traction will do that for you
