Default Death in the MR2 at Sat. night meet. Single Turbo G35.

Well Saturday night was kinda interesting in that we all actually went out to a place an ran from a dig. Normally the people around here are highway rollers

Drove the 2 out b/c I didn't get the other one finished on spring break and saw a few cars I'd like to run (350Z, G35, STI, etc...) along with ALOT of Honda's. We roll out about 11ish and head to the spot- me following said Honda's with all of their racket, and nearly got it a wreck b/c someone didn't know how to pull over onto the shoulder. Anyway I get there and watch for a bit and finally see this black G35 run a silver 350Z, the G lost so I thought that I would see if he wanted to run b/c he looked to at least have exhaust work. We line up and I ask if he wants to run em and he's down.

We get flagged off and I take him off the line by about a car, I hold it through second and at the beginning of third I see him start comin up hard - he goes by me and we shut it down at about 85 with him 2.5 cars ahead. We turn around cause I'm like WTF and I ask him what he's got. "Single turbo from Turbonetics" Man I thought he'd destroy me but, "I gotta take it easy on these 20's" (again )

Seriously, you spend all of that money on a turbo kit and won't even put decent rims and tires. Does this sound right? Anybody know about how much boost Turbonetics kit's start out with?

He might just not want to make it a "drag car"... 20s on a G35 looks SICK I'm sure, and a turbo G35 with 20s just makes it a really quick cruising car. No shame in that. Honorable death

Sounds good, intake and boost controller should have me going past him. Or I could just get the other one ready

ONOZ he smoked a stock MR2 by 2.5 cars with a 400hp car! Just saying it's a bit retarded, maybe he's one of the highway rollers 'round here.

G35s aren't exactly light stock. Add in the 20s and the turbo kit, intercooler, and plumbing, and it gets even heavier. It's not like 400rwhp power in a mr2. I'm sure you know that, just saying the weight difference is playing a big factor here.

That's what I figured, to each his own, but next time I won't be losing to him unless he has alot more done...
