a couple months ago, (just got my internet back) i was cruisin on the 118 and saw a ss catching up, i sped up when he got next to me and i gave him a thumbs up and asked if he wanted to run, from about 60mph, i honk once, twice and in mid second honk he takes off, he pulles about a car length when i downshift and hit it, we got to about 120-125, he pulled about another half car length, so a total of 1.5 cars ahead of me. we pull over and i asked what he had. he had an 02ss, true duals with high flow cats from stock manifolds??? he had 373gears, lid and a dyno tune. he said he was 340rwhp. sounded wierd to me i figured his gears, tune and ls6 mani would have done more than that. i only have longtubes over him, yet they run into a y so yeah, i guess my car is running good. and ide say i have about 340wheel(if he wasnt lieing) since the gears were probl what caused him to pull on me. at least i lost to an ls1 with more mods than me. haha

 

i think the gears make a big difference in both the A4 and M6, i'm an A4 and i had all the bolt ons put on my ss plus a heads ported to the intake (my heads flow 308 on the flow meter). it actual ran a couple of tenths slower then when it did with just a lid, until i got gears 3.73 gears. the only bolt on M6 that beat me are the one's with gears, were either even or they pull me
