racing etiquette
giving the hit is silly. if you know you're going to win, whats the point. to me running for fun and racing are different. when my lt1 formula and my friends ls1 camaro go out to run around we dont call it a race. someone who says "i know" or something like that when you tell them they are quick after a race-id say it would depend on how they said it. like if i said "i know its quick" i wouldnt necessarily mean your car is not. my ideas of fast and quick are different but i think if you are starting to dip into the 12s that you are starting to be one or the other, maybe both. i wouldnt call a mid 13 car slow persay, either. if you feel g-force when you go wide open throttle, its atleast got some *****...right ?
don't throw things out of your window at the other car. A nice piece of Latino street trash threw a bottle at my old car after he lost. Not my bad his civic was a slow POS. Caused a sweet little dent.
What I always go by is let the slower car get the hit (unless it is for money). Example...If I know my car (or think my car) can beat the car that is trying to race me I give him the hit. Its just something I have always done. If he honks I will go by it. But if I'm not racing for money or a setup race I don't honk out a race, I always give the hit.
