A 96-98 Cobra... don't know the year. We went 3 times... on the highway. He got me by 2 cars the first run. From 75 in 3rd gear to 130...

2nd Time we went from 60 to 120... we were neck and neck. I kept up.

3rd time... from 40 in 1st gear for me... and I got him by half a car until 140.

WTF??? it definately was supercharged. I know it's a crappy year Cobra... but I was expecting him to rape me. it didn't happen. the first time he got me because I wasn't completely ready.

I was disappointed... i was hoping to lose bad... lol.

So you have a Trans Am... with flows... and beat a supercharged Cobra from 40-140? Well that's either , or he wasn't supercharged.

There was a Procharged '97 Cobra down at our track last year on drag radials, ran 8.3ish all night long with a decent launch and shifts, not sure what the problem was.

of course the "mustang owner..." doesn't seem like BS to me?? looked up the specs of a 98 mustang cobra 305hp 300lb torque. correct me if im wrong? seemed like a even race to me?

I can believe that all day long. Hell if the OP has a stong running car it's not a doubt in my mind that he could hang with a 97-98 what ever year ( not 03-04 ) cobra from a dig and a roll.

im a big fbody ls1/lt1 fan but like bitemark said 310-315rwhp and 3500lbs vs 380-420rwhp and 3500lbs should be a nobrainer...

back when i only had a lid and catback i raced a cobra from around that year on the highway, was pretty much an even race, i know he had exhaust from the sound but other than that no idea.

he is right...99.9% sure that it wasnt supercharged. those years werent unless he did it himself...but everyone else noticed what i noticed....he tends to get pissy when a mustang gets beat. im not saying he always does or people dont bullshit, but someone new to the forum might get a certain biased perspective outta this guy. not dissing you man, im just saying.

I agree every thread i have seen him post in he is calling bs about a mustang being beat. jesus christ himself could bless the race and the outcome and IRUNELEVENS would come right out and say jesus lied. ^I think the point that he was trying to make was that the mustang probably wasn't supercharged like the OP thought. That'd be a 310-320 RWHP car pulling a 400+ rwhp car from a roll.
