First thing, i have no idea what Cobra you're talking about, but are you even able to tell me why it gained that much hp?? I know exactly why, but i really don't think you know much about boost from the sounds of it.... not being rude, but hardly anyone in this Street Racing forum knows much about boost from the posts i see....
ROFLMAO!

Secondly, your point really doesn't get to the root of my question..... I understand that if you put a great turbo setup on the car that its going to make exceptional numbers... but my formula was for teh "general" case.... NO ONE ON THIS FORUM, INCLUDING YOU, knows anything about the guy the OP raced... so, imho, he falls into the "general" case.... therefore its very unlikely he was making the 400whp that you said he should be making - this is reserved for those that are the "exceptions" ....
i just don't get it... you're arguing that he's probably making 400+whp, when that's for those that have gone the extra mile to make sure they get every single hp outta their setup - whcih you've admitted that MOST people don't do..... so this guy is probably in this MAJORITY, and therefore isn't making anywhere near the power you claim him to be likely making

You're right, I don't know exactly what the guy the OP was racing's setup was. But 9psi (like another member said) consistently making in the 300-320whp range with any sort of good setup is enough to run with a stock-ish LS1 and not get passed like he "standing still." Might not win, but a 300whp+ 2800lb car, FWD or not, is not gonna be slow. If the OP had said he was spinning his *** off that's one thing, but he gave him the hit, and then proceeded to pull him like he was standing still. A 300-400whp RSX-S would not have that happen. And I could have told you why the turbo setup is more efficient, but somebody beat me to it

I said IN THE BEGINNING "good kill, but I don't think he was running 15psi." All I said was that I think the guy was lying about his setup. Never said the OP didn't win, or that he should have lost. If you race somebody that claims to run 10s (not that an RSX @ 15psi would run 10s) in your 13s car and you beat them, do you not assume that they were lying about their times?

Keep in mind Honda motors reva few extra grand...might as well throw on an extra 100hp due to revving 9K and what not. SRT's and Evo's dont rev like that.
If you said a B16, or a B18 for that matter, I'd say sure..they can't expect much more than 375-400whp on 15psi even with the best setup, and largest practical turbo. But a K20 breaths oh so much better than the B and D series. They can make 400whp on 15, it would just have to be a good head porting and a great bottom end coupled w/ a turbo like a GT35R. It's not common though, in your defense.

well 15 psi does mean quite a bit espically when both cars have generally the same motor size and layout. The k20 and evo motor are both 2 liters while the dumdumdumdumdum is 2.4 liters so that is why i mentioned those in the before post. And both being around the same displacement and layout they would both choose about the same turbo size. There is always room to run smaller or bigger turbos or what not depending on what you want out of the car, but i was just using that as a general platform to go off of.

RSX-S redline is 7,900rpm . If it's less than 7,000rpm, it's not a Type S.

Im sorry guys, this is all my fault. Next time I race a ricer I will look over at his gauge when hes at full boost and ready to shift to make sure hes not lying about his boost levels.... So maybe he inflated his boost numbers kinda like people inflate there pecker size.... BTW my e-***** is 10" long.
