Default MY first real kill

Before I tell this story I want to just let everyone know we didn't get this on film since it wasn't planned but I just thought I'd share my first kill. Sorry for the long story but It's the only way I could paint a picture for you guys.

So me and my buddy were coming home from Sacramento Raceway after a night of tracking our cars. We were on the free way and I think mu buddy was feeling down that he couldn't get the times he wanted in his 2007 Mustang GT 5Speed.He raced my other buddy a while ago with a M6 SS and beat him which surprised me.

So he decides to pull up on me and honk it off. We both hit it but a Old Guy in a Toyota Camry cuts us off. We wait for him to clear out and this time I honk it off. Initially he's right at my front fender. What happened next kind of surprised me since I'm pretty much stock.

I start pulling on him, and I'm pulling bad. I finally noticed he let off. He said I was atleast 3 cars ahead of him. We stopped at Denny's and he was like " Man, I just can't win tonight."

I told him should've made the switch and got an LS1 like me.

His mods are FRPP Catback, Pypes O/R H-pipe, CAI & tune. My mods are in sig.

I'm not a big fan of 19s on an LS1 and they don't help when racing either.
Driver mod is needed. ^
GTs usually need a little more to beat an LS1
Good Kill.

Nice kill. The LS1 mod for mod typically beats up on the new style GTs up top. From a dig, he might have hung better for a bit.

Anyways, what times did everyone run and what's the elevation on that track that you're only trapping 102?

anything bigger than 17's doesn't look right and will naturally slow you down a little in my opinion

With your mods that sounds like exactly what should have happened... with his mods he'd do well to hang with a stock A4 LS1 from a roll, and would run right around what a stock M6 LS1 runs in the 1/4. So with your choice mods it was obviously more than enough

Elevation: 100 feet

Latitude: 38.527068

Longitude: -121.291058

GPS: N 38 31.6240, W 121 17.4634

Time zone: PST/PDT (-0800/-0700)

I didn't do any burnouts, first time to the track. I'm on shitty Ventus tires, not the stock goodyears....fwiw. I was also stalling to 1100 rpm...Now looking on here I think I should have had better times. Scar Raceway isn't known for great track prep either

The tires that came with the car when I bought it don't seem to hook as well as the goodyears...I couldn't break a 2.1 60 foot

Well you still have stock exhaust, that might be restricting you, get some and see what happens and a tune wakes up the car alot.

Nice kill.

Everyone was running slow at the track that night. Especially your friend in the white GT! There is no way an ss should of lost to him.
