Of course not. People can buy whatever car they want, variety is always good. However, some platforms are better than others for making big power fast cars. Evo is in no way an ideal platform for a fast car. It's marketed as a rally car, with a small turbo engine and AWD and predictable handling. How that makes a good drag car I'll never know, which is why I dont understand why someone would waste their time and money.

Rob has been driving his car around for a few years and he abuses the **** out of his car. It truly is his daily driver. Doesn't matter whether its import or domestic, at over 650 horsepower at the wheels, **** will break, thats just part of the game.
A properly built setup won't break with 650WHP. A forged LSx, built 4L80E, and a Ford 9" are what is generally referred to as bulletproof. An overboosted 4 cylinder coupled to a small 5 speed and a crappy transfer case are not going to last any significant period of time.

Nice car man. I'll admit that I'm not a huge fan of the looks, but fast is fast!
Yeah you should come hang out, the group i'm with have all kinds of HP ranges. We mainly bs most of the time, but we sometimes get some good runs in.

Comparing a built motor/trans/driveline to a stock engine/trans/driveline is a failing example. There's no reason a properly built car of either style can't hold it together equally at 650 HP. What do you drive again? How fast is it? How much power? Any proof to back up any your answers?

I highly doubt you're anything more than an ethug with a WS6 set as your desktop image. I'm also amazed that the admins of this site keep letting you back in here.

You're an import troll who has an incredible 2 posts in almost 2 years. You aren't in any position to call anyone out.

93 Talon

You certainly can't call anyone out on their car either, because it would have to be a Yugo to be shittier than what you dirive.

There are perfectly good reasons why an Evo won't hold together under high power levels. Its a transverse engine layout, meaning the transmission fits between the side of the engine and the side of the car. There's not much room in there, so its small. Same with the transfer case. Common sense tell you that small driveline components don't hold up to abuse or high HP levels, which is why guys with Evos are always blowing up their transmissions and transfer cases. They are not designed for holding 500 or 600HP, they are designed for the stock 230WHP.

This is what happens when you try and drive an Evo like a drag car:

http://forums.evolutionm.net/showthread.php?t=342690

And as far as the admins, they should have banned your import trolling *** long ago. Of course, they probably already have, you're just on another one of your usernames, just like your buddies 25PSI, boostedinaz, 2000T/A Guru, ect.

WOW!!! These guys don't seem to have a problem laying the wood down. As some will argue upgraded suspension parts will help our handling other could say the same thing about upgraded internal work for thier cars.

Thanks for the newsflash, we know the worlds fastest evo runs 8's. I'm reminded of it on a daily basis by the various moronic ricers around here.

Those cars are in no way, shape, or form anything close to stock. Every component has been upgraded, cryotreated gears, probably dog box transmission, staged axles, no expense spared. For the amount of money AMS has wasted on the ASM Evo, you could be going faster in any variety of cars.

Lol i have seen evos go 9s on stock drivetrain, they may not last forever but i have seen them do it. and when people build ls1s for the track do they not upgrade the parts. Or do they leave everythign stock? lol your point that those cars arent stock is retarded

This is what you stated before hand. You said they wont hold up. These cars are holding up. I have a buddy who beats the hell out of his and is in the 650 range and has had no issues for two years.
Your bias goes beyond common sense man. I can't stand the sound, looks, or anything about the cars really. But they can be built to hold up.
