Default felt like an a$$

Saw a beutiful green 5.0 driving down the street so i just had to catch up. i was on my way to my church softball game where i get my weekly exersize.
anyway i pulled up to a light right behind him and it sounded nice, not to loud but good and deep. so he takes off kinda slow and i could hear the whine of a supercharger so i am game "i thought". so the next light i get stuck behind him again but he is reving, good sign "i thought".
light turns green, he takes off mad fast so i punch it, little wheel spin but not bad. He changed lanes as soon as he could cause i was realing him in. I get beside him. he looks at me. THEN he punches it....... wow
Dont i feel like an a$$.
I talked to my buddy that owns a performance shop in town. he said that guy had a mid 13 second car, before the guy in the 5.0 took my buddy 7 grand and told him to do as he pleased.
All i know is bored block, cam, ported and polished heads, and a big procharger.

Okay, so first, I'm guessing you lost.

Second, I dont understand this comment at all ...
"I talked to my buddy that owns a performance shop in town. he said that guy had a mid 13 second car, before the guy in the 5.0 took my buddy 7 grand and told him to do as he pleased."

Please clarify. Good death!

lol, nice death. But, only a mid 13 second car with ALL those mods? You sure? If so, stangs are weaker than I thought...

AC Delco plugs (don't ask me how)
Haha, I feel your pain there, buddy. Try doing a plug/wire change with Edelbroch headers and a big blower blocking your optispark... Today, I tried to do wires for the first time (i melted two on my headers). I started, eventually had to call my friend over to help me re-route them. I got ONE WIRE DONE in an hour and a half before we had to go to work . Only 7 more to sleeve, tape, and install

Damn, sometimes I really wish I had an LS1...

Haha, welcome to the wonderful world of Cursing GM engineers to hell ... I must've done it 30 times at least this weekend. BTW, spark plugs are really easy with valve cover and AIR tubes off.

yeah, whoever had the great idea for the "high-tech" and "revolutionary" opti-spark should be put on call to change all of ours when they go bad. He'd sure feel like an *******.

You shoulda seen us. We had to jack the car up, I had to put the wire through from under, my friend was sitting on the front end trying to route it from above. It took like 30 mins of cursing and burning our hands on random hot parts of the engine. To top it all off, he even dropped a screwdriver accidentally right on my ***** while I was under the car. That sure felt good... he's my friend with the 4.6 Stang that I've mentioned quite a lot on the board. You gotta see the distributor/wires/plugs on his car. It'd take 20 minutes to do every damn cylidner's plug and wire. ARRRRGHHHH!!!!

He might have an easier time working on it, but I sure have more fun on the highway Long live F-body!

Alright well, the first thing you usually want to do before you go proding things right next to the headers or any other extremely hot part of the engine, is to let it COOL DOWN FIRST. Way to go sherlock.

Ok, clarifying.
Tony (my friend) owns a performance shop in town.
5.0 guy's mustang was running mid 13's.
5.0 guy took his car to Tony with 7 grand.
Tony put in the listed options = 9 second car.
I got my a$$ spanked.

You sound like one of the guys at the brokerage firm ... he always tells me that he'll fight me as long as I don't use any martial arts on him. I don't know how he wants me to do that, most of it is reactional anyways.

And yeah, I know what you meant, I was just playin.
