Default 05 GTO vs 03 Cobra

My car: 2005 GTO M6
LPE CAI, Kooks 1 7/8 LTs (no cats), Flowmaster mufflers, TTP tune
made 363rwhp/358rwtq SAE and ran 12.7@112 before the LT headers

His: 2003 Cobra 10th Anniv.
2.8" upper, JLT CAI, MAFia, KB throttle body, catless x, custom dumped catback, solid rear, JLP tune....makes 47x rwhp 48x rwtq

I lost obviously, Ive driven his car plenty of times and knew how quick it was. Its one of my best friend's cars and it was just a quick run last night from one meet to another. It was just him and his girl in his car but I had my girl and another friend in the back seat. Both of us were in 2nd gear, 50 mph, I honked it off and made sure to go right on the 3rd beep. By 120mph he had about 4 cars on me. My other buddy with a mystic 04 with upper and lower pullies beat me worse, so I'm trying to set that race up between the Cobras.

Im not exactly worked up because I lost to another friend's Cobra last night in the GTO because I've yet to lose to one in my WS6 , which is more so my "race" car. I (barely) beat this same 03 Cobra when I was cam only/full bolt ons and he refuses to run me since Ive added the new shortblock and heads, especially knowing I beat the 04 on this setup. Hes having a 2.8 KB blower installed early June but luckily for me I dropped my car off at TTP (the day after he told me the news LOL) and should be getting it back with 150+rwhp.

It seems like your car should be making more then 363rwhp/358rwtq with your mods.

To the guy above me. He stated that those numbers were without the longtube headers.

M6 LS2 cars are usually around 345rwhp. My car only did 331rwhp SAE on TTP's dyno...then with just a CAI and tune did the 363hp/358tq SAE on the same exact dyno. I felt a very noticeable SOTP difference leaving the dyno that day. My car was a factory turd until it got tuned.

When I started reading the mods on both cars I knew who was gonna win... I'm sure you're not too heartbroken knowing your T/A would have killed that same cobra

Nope. I have a cam only setup comming together so I'm gonna wait. I dont think the LTs threw the tune off too much, car felt a tad stronger when they went on.

Haha, exactly . I consider the GTO my "nice" car and yet I still win 90% of the races I get involved in around here.

I went from stock to straight pipes to flowmasters, the car has felt the strongest with the flowmasters. I've read theyre not a restriction as for example the flowmaster catback for F bodies.
