??? about modded gt!

??? about modded gt! Wassup guys and gals. k jus put in my tr224 111 lsa campkg and mods are below. theres this a 2002 gt that wants to run wit me, he has bassani x pipes and headers, heads and cam, and i think its an auto. This guy is 30 somtin years old he says his car runs 12 et's but havent seen the car down the tracks b4, this guy did all this mod within a month, and his planning to super charge it. Do i have a chance wit this gt w/out his supercharger? my car ran a 12.8 @ 110 without my cam, i got a 2oo2 m6. mustangs boys, wat this gt run down the track wit head ,cam and bolt on's?
Re: ??? about modded gt! you should take him but be carefull dont underestimate even tho he is a auto i seen one with heads,cam,exhaust, run a 12.3 but it was a M5 not auto but you should have no problem just dont let up on him..post results or even better give us a vid

Re: ??? about modded gt! Evilstangs right if he did a cam on that 4.6L its probably a good one. Because an OHC cam swap is a lot of work and if you do it you're going to want to do it just once. I would bet on you before his supercharger though but you never can tell. Just go for it and hope for the best.

Re: ??? about modded gt! i raced a gt with a blower at the track the other day. he dialed 13.5 and ran 13.8 or something. maybe he missed a shift but he was dialing 13.5 and he had the same trap speed i had all day.

Re: ??? about modded gt! No street race, no kill story. The people over in the 'drag racing' department would be much better suited to answer your question. Those guys live for track times etc.
But, to answer your question, you will take him pretty easily. You have a strong cam in there, full intake and exaust. I am sure you would probably run a high 11's at the track. With the heads and cam, I'm sure hes still only running mid 12's as EvilStang said, so it probably would've been a close race BEFORE you got the cam. Now that you have it, go out there and make him wish he had that supercharger.

Re: ??? about modded gt! Thanks guys, "phantomws6" i guess ill ask the guy to run it down the tracks and ill meet him there, that way ill have my bfg dr's on but i have to wait for 2 weeks, we only have drags here on maui once a month. 
were trying to pass a pettition so that they open the track once more every month for the street racers, to run without the time slips, only lights. every month non-members pay $45 to race in the street bracket, members pay $25. on the other island (oahu) i think they only pay $6 and they have it everyweekend i think.

Wow, thats expensive. 6 bucks is much better.
What I was saying, however, is to ask the guys in the track section of the forum ... as they would know what a certain car would run better then most of us. We're more here for stories and the such, while they're there more for info. I was just saying you might get a more accurate answer from them, even though I'm sure the one you received from evilstang and myself is dead-on.
