Default Raced a 10 second Foxbody.

Had some fun last night with a race ready Foxbody Mustang.
His mods: 347 Stroker, every possible bolt on, full race suspension, gutted. His car is a border line straight track car, no power steering, A/C, Wipers, roll cage, MT dr's and skinnies up front. His car runs mid 10's on a 100 shot.
First run:
I'm running my mods in sig with a 100 shot, he's all motor. We start at about 30 and run it to 90ish. We both take off he gets about a half car on me (due to having the dr's on) and I quickly make it back and pull about 1 1/2 cars on him and pulling hard until I let off. Afterward he yells out his window "should I open my bottle now?" lol I give him a grin and tell him he better.
We run again this time me off the bottle. Start about same mph and he pulls a good 2 cars on me through bottom of 2nd toward the top of 2nd I stop his pull and begin to make up some space. Unfortunately we run out of road and had to stop around 90 or so.
Stopped and chatted with the guy a while afterward, very cool guy and was very impressed with the Ls1. Was a good race to hang with one of the faster cars in town, would have been interesting to see his car on the 100 shot.

I hear ya, I was surprised myself but I think he probably ran closer to a 200 shot when he ran in the 10's. On motor I would guess he's somewhere in the 11's which is right where my car should be.

A 347 stroker with those mods should be a basement 11 or a high 10 at 122-125mph depending on his setup. He could have sprayed a 150 shot and hit a mid 10 if he's a good driver

Well to take this a little further. I looked on the forum where he posts and it looks like he has run 10.8 @ 122 but apparently he's done some tweaking and is guessing to be 10.70's. I trap 122 consistently on just a 100 shot so I don't see how you are so convinced I shouldn't have beat him. My Et is definitely not where it should be due to my inability to launch a 6 speed lol
So we both trap 122 on spray, we race me on spray him not and I beat him, shouldn't be a surprise.

Maybe you should post up all your track racing opinions in the Drag Tech section This is street racing guy a different beast especially when the racing is done from low rolls.

Did you not see the depending on the setup??
I have seen 347 cars go everywhere from high 10's to low 14's.

Bottles are for babies, IMO. What do you do when the juice runs out, or your motor blows?

Well it's a good thing your opinion counts about as much as a bench race.
