Default 394 LS1 vs old school Ford w/ 150shot *vid*

Had a good run with a quick truck last night, I was told
he runs 11.0's on nitrous. And yes I took the holeshot thanks
to QA1's and M&H 325/45's!!! But he did get me by a truck length.

Him: '79 Ford F-100 w/ 460ci Big Block & 150shot
Me: '99 Z28 394ci stroker (N/A) and 6 speed

Vid --> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d39lb3COpBY

It was real dark but you can tell we were neck and neck!

No replacement for diplacement.

What kind of torque do you think that Big Block made on spray ??

Maybe 600 rwtq ?? or more.

Good run though, and no surprise you got the hole shot. Once that big *** truck got moving and sprayed he must've ran by ya pretty good.

I'll bet that truck was about done though when he passed ya, not sure if thats any concellation.

Id hope it was more than that, my 408 made over 700 rwtq on a 170 shot.

Hey good race. I love to hear people who can admit when they lose just as easy as they can when they win. I have mad respect for you and you have a strong running car. It sounded REAL good going down the road. Good death. I'm SURE you have numorus kills

I was totally guessing bro. What do you think the truck did??

No idea what other mods, like I said, just guessing.

Question for ya, do bigger motors respond better to Nitrous? May be a dumb question, but I don't know **** about nitrous. I just know it works.

It's a mild 460ci w/ a good converter
and 150 shot..torque is prob in the mid 600's but
not really sure, he does pull the wheels at the track.

We were neck and neck but if you watch again my
shift light never comes on
The chip is set at 6600 so I shifted somehwere less than that, Doh!

I have too many kills to mention but let's be honest
not many of them ran low 11's....thanks for the props

I honestly would think his torque would be in the 700s with that big *** motor.

SHould be some where near there. I raced a 502 BB chevy truck that had over 700tq on the squeeze. That Ford should of been there to.

Chris, right?

Nice run man, I see that LS1 stroker is holding strong. Its not easy running down there with a 6-speed car.

Yep that's me trying to hold my own. The motor is
doing well (knock on wood). I might be one of three
cars with a stick but I've got 127k miles worth of practicing.

Bunch more vids are posted up...

enjoy!
