The judge will look at you differently if you come in there with a lawyer.When you come in with a lawyer,the judge knows you are taking it seriously.You may get a break,a lawyer may be cheaper in the long run.

you have no hope, under 21 your dead. Ive been there more than once.

 

You've definatley got a chance, at worst with a lawyer, it should get ammended to something else. Just make sure you look clean cut for the judge when you appear and answer with "yes/no Your Honor" and the like, you'll look more like you have a good head on your shoulders to them. They eat up that respect stuff. (my dad was a judge, and I've also stood in front of too many of them in the past, so I've been there too...)

 

Dude that sucks. Plead not guilty. If the ticket says accelerated in competition, tell him it would not have been much competition. The legal definiton of drag racing is "Attempting to overtake another vehicle". You did not attempt, you did overtake. Bottom line, yes you were racing, but you never hit excessive speeds. Tell him that your car has been acting funny, and sometimes it tries to die. All you were doing was getting the PRM's up.

 

get a lawyer specializing in this stuff.dont go to court alone and make up some stupid excuse.youll lose for sure.theyve heard all this crap before.good luck.

From what I understand, that is only within the city limits of Los Angeles. Try and not to race inside the city limits.
