2000 SS vs 08 Evo
Well let me start off saying that this was a bad *** race. It started when i was entering the freeway and i look over and see this new evo flying in the left lane. I quickly followed suit and caught up to him, but once he sees me in the rear view he slams it and i stay right with him then we slow cause of traffic.
We cruised for a whole minute and finally the traffic was clear, I get along side and look over and we both smile and waive. I look on my other side and some idoit in a freakin scion is trying to get in on the action. lol I put her in second and jumped a lil bit and the evo did the same, I proceed with honks and right after the 3rd....it was ***** to wall for both of us!
We started at 65, he pulls a car on me through 2nd and once I hit 3rd it stayed even up to 120 where we let off due to traffic. We get along side each other again and throw a waive and I exit to go home.
Oh ya the scion.......left him sniffin our fumes.

08 EVO?
You mean the evo 10?
I really hope he had work done because they're actually slower now in the 1/4 and still slower from a roll. They gained 14hp and roughly 300lbs with bigger dimensions
It's actually rather sad. The EVO just keeps getting taller, wider, and longer (fatter) and only has 14 more horsepower.
Hell, if you live in the UK or Japan they don't even offer the fq400 anymore, so it's also gotten weaker across seas. Let's not even discuss how fugly the new one is.
BTW, stock EVO 10s don't shoot flames; he must have had work done to get that and keep up with you from a roll.

good runs. but yea if its spitting out flames. not "STOCK" haha must of had a turbo, after market exhaust, n some kind of blow off valve or some kind of flame shooter?
because if it was stock then it would of been a way diff race.
You > Him by a long shot too...

Thought you mis-typed and meant EVO 8. Not too many people have already gone that deep into their EVO 10s yet.

Anti-lag is way cool, totally transforms a low CR high boost setup. But wrecks the engine, turbo and fuel economy in no time.

Anti-lag is cool from a pure performance stand point but has it's negatives, like you said. I just don't think it's cool in a "Woah dude, his car is frickin SPITTIN FIRE MAN!!!!!"
