Should I race a 5.0? A cockey kid at school wants to race me, and I want to race him. He has 89 5.0, and it is modded. Carb, cam, spintech, headers, intake manifold, an "bored to a 306"? Do you think I can beat this 306ci GT? He is the most cockey racer I have ever talked to, and wants to meet up with me some time on an old *** street to race for the fans, so if I loose I will be the laughing stock of the whole school.

Re: Should I race a 5.0? depends on how you drive but most likly yes another thing tho...i have never seen a stock SS out run a bolt on 306 but havefun post results

Re: Should I race a 5.0? look lemme give you some advice ..one of my friends owns a 5.0 gt 1991 i think ..anyways he was built except a charger and i raced him right when i got my stock 99 gt ..lemme say he has a great drag suspension skinnys fats you knwo the deal gears the whole ****** frpp catalog ..so we race the ****** put like at least 10 cars on my gt ...now hes blown i dont play anymore ! moral of the story ..if hes got suspension watch out ..cause the right setup will murder you out of the hole just pay attention to the car and yes a 306 can be lethal ..but lie i said if he doesnt have a full drag setup he probably cant hook ..and if he can he doesnt have that much power hope this helped peace!

And nothing against your Ford, I have had 12 of them, but I think you are going to be suprised when you run at the track....low 12's will be tuff. I think low 13's is more realistic. And before you knock the truck, yes I can and HAVE smoked an 03 mach 1
