Be real careful!! I've seen pics at the corral of a 550hp stock block cracked down the valley!! He had a stud girdle that saved his internals.

Right now im running a Mexican block, with all forged internals that i got from a freind of mine. Not too sure about all that he did to it. I sent it to him and he sent be the bill. All i know is that it is still holding up. Not sure about power im guestimating about 450 or so rwhp.

I'm looking at a single turbo setup myself that will eventually be transplanted into a factory five cobra. I would like to see about 600hp. There was a sponsor on the corral selling forged internal r shortblocks for $4199. Best deal I've seen yet.

As for the stock block I made a hair over 600 (10.70@132 1.7 60ft) and broke a piston because of detonation.
NOS seems to be harder on the stock blocks than S/Cers.

All the b*tchin about who has a better product is stupid. I have owned mustangs, Ta,s & Camaros. I used to think my Ta & Z28 were fast cars and made up Hp amounts. But after being left behind by vettes I bought one. True the Ford Gt is awesome the chance of seeing one on the road is slim and probably no chance the owner will run you. I just like the fact that the mustang, vettes, ( american sport cars) are fast cars, nicely equipped and will blow most imports away. I am now a die hard vette fan and for my $17,000 I am very pleased with the money spent. I will say though that I ran against a 95 TA and at 120 he pulled away. After talking to him later I found out he had NOS so it goes to show you that a $6000 car can still beat what you have, that is until the NOS runs out.
