Raced a Supra yesterday
Actually, this one:
Yesterday I went to the Santa Pod Raceway Summer Nats, was a good event including most types of drag bikes and cars, even a jet car
On the way home I ran across this Supra, not sure on mods, but def an exhast. Had two older chaps in it.
When the road opened up he hit it, sadly I was a car or so back and they didn't move out of that way, once they did I hit it too. The Supra must have leveled out at about a ton but I saw them hit it again so kept it planted.
Sailed straight past and reckon we knocked on the door of 160mph before slowing for a bend. Looks like they'd had enough as I had to slow below 60mph and still weren't catching us up.
I waited at the round about for them and by luck they where heading the same way so I held it at about 35mph off the round a bout and hit it, and so did they.
Went to about 100mph just over, pretty dead even.
I'm pretty pleased with the out come all things considering.

The thing I hate about racing a supra is you never know what you're going to get.A 9sec car or a 13sec stocker. They are like the grand nationals, they can be quiet and whoop your ***.You don't see it comming. Nice race bro.

i tried to race a supra the other day from a 60mph roll. I was pacing beside him and he dropped back to my rear bumper. When he did he gunned it. i wasnt expecting that at all i thought he didnt want to play. Anyways i tried to catch him after the serious jump on me and i stayed 3 cars back with no gain. Then when we got up to traffic he kept going whipping in and out of traffic like a mad man. I was hoping he would chill and come back so we could try again. By the way his licence plate was 2FKNFST thought that was awsome. LS1 A4 longtubes, true duals, mail order tune, K&N

Yeah Supra's are affordable here, but probably still more money than I paid for my z/28. Besides that Supra sure didn't sound as good as an ol' OHV V8
Actually thinking of getting a Subaru STI as a daily driver. Maybe something like a STI 3 or 4. They only weigh like 2700 with AWD 8500rpm red line and an easy 330bhp.

Yeah it wasn't a flyby in the ricer sense that you guys are used too. Basically they nailed it at at least 100mph, if I'd have slowed there would have been no race so I took advantage and kept it buried. Also don't think they would have wanted to line up at 120mph, lol.
Street racing here's a slightly different affair than what you guys are used to.

I guess the drivers of the car all of you worship with such devout vehemence are also not immune from the 'ricetard weave'.

Man, I'd love to live in a place where only one specific group of people were idiots . Sometimes I wish I had a camera permanently filming outside my car so I could show how bad some people drive around here. All sorts of people, driving all sorts of automobiles.
