audi supercar?

audi supercar? ok lets see how many nay sayers there are on this one. my first question, what engine and numbers are the audi 2 door cars the real nice looking one i think they call it a supercar or something like that. anyway my reason for asking is this, i was driving a friend back to base my wife with me as well so thats 3 people and as i am passing this car i see that it is an audi 2 door and looks GOOD. well the road i was on was 3 lanes and i was in the far right he was in the far left as i was passing i noticed his car jerked foreward quickly so i looked closer and he was jumping it with the throttle(its on right). we were moving at about 45 and i just hit it foot to the floor i pulled on him straight away as would happen with no warning but he hangs, he stays there for a second and i just ended up pulling away on him when i hit about 75 80 i let out that was it(by the way there was no traffic). you can see the mods i have so why would this happen i cant beat anything other than a lesser v8 so i doubt it was over that.
Well, there are two coupes that I can think of that you would be talking of (there might be more, but i'm not SUPER familiar with the Audi line)...
The R8 is the supercar.... quite frankly, its an amazing car - looks drop dead gorgeous and has a very good engine. The boys on the british show Top Gear absolutely loved it and raved about everything - engine, handling, everything. Wikipedia is showing it to be 420hp,12.5@113 from the showroom, so take that for what its worth... I would highly doubt that you spanked one of these with 3 peeps in ur car...
The only other car i've seen that looks really good is the new A5 coupe. Seen a couple in person and thats the only reason i know they exist... however, i dont think they come wiht a very big engine, so i'd think they'd be easy pickin's....

Edit: after looking some more, they make a S5, which has a detuned version of the motor in the R8... 354/325.... i'd say this is likely the car you raced!

The S4, S5, S6 all offer a 4.2 V8 40 valve motor. They're all AWD as well. The RS4 and R8 offer a high output version of that same motor at 420hp, like SonofaBish said. The R8 is capable of nearly 200mph supposedly and moves out pretty damn hard. It's a very distinct car and is comparable to a Lambo in Shock value
I saw one at the NY auto show (spring 08), it was pretty amazing and well equiped.

I don't know what your car is capable of but these things really do move out from nearly any speed(AWD but pretty damn light).

Wouldn't doubt it. I live near Southlake which is the most uppity city in almost all of Texas. I know what I saw cause I just saw the movie a few days beforehand. I'm not blind.

sorry should have been more clear i know that it was not an R8 i know what those look like and no way in hell could i have taken that. it was a 2 door coupe and it was about as long as the camaro but no R8.
