Had one of those cocky mother----ers throw me a rev and a hi-beam blink at me in town, bit more than a week back. I put a football field on him so fast, there just didn't seem to be any further point. Sucker came wizzing past at somethin like 70 in a 45 zone, what seems like HALF A DAY later. Wonder if the little puto counts it as a victory when the other guy shuts down in the next zipcode.

And what gives me crap on the way home from the gym last night? 'Nother freakin' DIAMANTE! Comes wailin' on up in the right lane at about 20 over just as the light changes. I wag my tail maybe two inches to burn off the water at the intersection - can't really tell with the Satriani blaring - then bam, another wrecking yard's worth of cars on the guy. And as I cool off once I've found my little traffic niche, the little joto just lies in wait, till my passing options close, then cuts me off as I try to go around a car in front of me. In the LEFT LANE, this time.

I've got my signal on real early behind this guy, to let him know I'm goin' west on the interstate. To his sole, marginal credit for the evening, he doesn't punk out and change his route.

He books it on down the entrance ramp. I calmly bide my time at the stopsign, even letting the guy to the right, who was there after me, go ahead, because there's no rush. And sure enough, soon as I reel in the Diamante and level with him - well, now that there's nothing but open road, no traffic to play bit__-*** interference games with, he just DOESN'T WANT ANY MORE PLAY. And I just dropped him in disgust.

Thinking about the color of the car, I realize it might have been the same putz as the one I slammed earlier.

So we got Evo's thowin' down with mixed results. What, does that mean we're gonna get attitude from every **** in a Mitsu, now?

 

Seriously ... the pissing contests with both the ricer population and the ******* stang portion of the board, are getting somewhat annoying and repetitive. How about we just post kills, and forget about the "well if the car wasnt stock . . blablabla" garbage.

I just can't believe how much hate there is on this site for anything that's not a V8. A majority of people here seem to believe that anything less than a V8 is "rice". I realize this is an LS1 site but at least be decent when posting.

No no, most of us have absolutely NO problem with fast, non-V8 cars. What we all cannot stand, however, is ricer comments and excuses like the ones 25psi constantly makes. Anytime one of us post a kill story he is the first to mention that it is "only a 4 cyl" or "he only has half the CI you do" ... it just gets really old after awhile. We're all here to post/read about kills, not to debate which brand / type of car is superior.

Dude your a *****. Why don't you get a real car. There is nothing about your car that SCREAMS performance. Anything you do as an upgrade, is becoming closer to a stock mr2. I out handle you,out brake you, out corner you. The internals in the 2, are far superior to yours. I can out launch you. Dude the camaro is an overweight boat on wheels. Plus my car is lighter,built to withstand the added pressures of FI, and it has TOYOTA RELIABILITY!

I must say this is a well moderated board. Most sites would of kicked you by now for the worthless information you've provided.

If you would like to actually chat about something or have a point to make on something I have stated in my post, please do so. Quit trying to say i'm arguing about CID, 4 vs 8 cylinders, turbo's, etc. I haven't said one thing about them and your trying to argue with me about them. You know absolutely nothing about me.

 

Let's talk about Toyota reliability..because in my experience with imports (other than my Mazda) they offer nothing superior in the way of quality. I had a '98 Toyota Corolla that had to have the engine rebuilt after less than 30K miles. Bear in mind that this was not a ricer or beater car or anything...it was an everyday driver that was never abused. The engine just totally took a dump one day, and what did the dealer find???? The internals were ruined. Wow...imagine that. A Toyota with poor quality. And of course I've had domestics that were poor quality too, but I've never had a car that had serious engine trouble with so few miles on it.

Also 25psi, I remember a few weeks ago you said you never wanted to hear the word CUBES again because they had nothing to do with the performance of a car, but now you're using CUBES or displacement as the basis for your argument on why the EVO and other cars aren't as fast as ours. So I think you should decide which argument you want to use and stick with it so you don't look stupid.

 

I mentioned the word cubes becuase one of your guys said the ls1 is more closely related to the evo than the viper. Which is BS in my opinion.

The corolla was a number 1 selling car in its class for a number of years. Toyota has been in the top 3 for reliabilty for a number of years now. So whatever problem you encountered, was probably on your behalf.

I am new on this board and was not aware till now what you drove. By your mouth I thought you drove something cool, like a Supra, with 25 psi of boost. ****, is that funny. The Ford Taurus was the best selling car for a number of years, but having owned two first gen Taurus' (including a SHO which has a Yamaha engine) I can tell you that they were total pieces of ****. So sales doesn't equal quality. I admit that the Corolla was most likely an anomoly, but I can guarantee the problems it had were not by my fault. It was taken to the dealer for oil changes every 3K and never beat on...it was just a piece of **** as well. And the 2002 Honda Civic I just got rid of (also a daily driver) had numerous problems such as the power windows getting stuck and the paint on the front bumper peeling off. Got anymore arguments about how great foreign quality?
