Dennis and I will be going to the track in the fall, when it cools down. We already look forward to it.

I am not expecting to run any faster than than 10.9/11.0 @129-130.

When you port the intake, TB, and add mufflers to the cam and all the other bolt ons, then you start seeing 535-550 rwhp (550 being the high side and the lucky ones get it).

Regarding this race, I think two things came into play. 1) it is an auto vs. a M6, and 2) I don't think Dennis knew exactly how to drive that car to it's full potential. How do you explain the 2nd race?? Sure, I shut down early, but how is it that he was even with me all through 2nd, but the other races he wasn't?

I think if the driver learns the car and we race again, it will be a great race. Remember, this is not Dennis's own car, so he isn't used to it.
It was mostly driver error on my part. When I went to shift with the paddles, I hit the downshift and not the upshift. This was the second time I've ever driven the car. Thats why you see me fall back so quick. I ***'d up. End of my story.

Mightve had better luck keepin it in 'D'

Your zo6 should see 130 traps (or darn close depending on air). That local zo has the same mods done to it, pretty sure no porting has been done to anything...just a cam, LTs, CAI, and tune like you listed. On previous lsx cars I've had, I usually saw a difference of 2-3 mph depending on the DA of the day from the summer to late fall. So if you're looking for a good mph run, wait til october and get out there when its sub 55* outside and you may see 131-132.

I should of started with the paddle shift and then bumped it into drive so it would of shifted correctly. Too late now. Damn amature!!!

Yes, that's exactly the plan. To wait for a 60* day or so and head to the track to see what she can do.

As far as this race goes, in my mind, it wasn't a true representation of 3what that SC LS3 can do. Maybe we can do it again sometime.

I did a little video of the speedo, just to show the acceleration. Not much I could do, being solo in the car.

Wow, that was murder. I expected the LS3 to put up a fight, but that was just sad.

Do the LS3 have any other mods? How many pounds of boost?

Hey Fadi,
I've got a little ol' Black WS6, 427 LS7 motor tucked between the shock towers, headers, cam, the usual. Stock LS7 heads/intake. 500 rwhp (mustang dyno) on low timing, and soft tune when engine was new. I'm a senior at UM, and this is my daily driver. I'm sure you've seen me around town if you're ever in the campus/downtown area, got fully blacked out tint, gradient mirror from the bottom up. Its decently loud =D

next time you guys race, race him from a dig and leave it in drive. If you were at 8-10lbs. of boost that Z06 would be seeing your tailights.

Nice kill Fadi. Once he figures the car out it will be a better run. I for sure thought it would be a close race

WHPLASH and I will be running at the drag strip soon. We have been talking about this for a while and we are just waiting for the weather to cool down. We are both hoping to come back with a 10 sec time slip.

Haans, if you ever want to play around, let me know. We have pretty big car scenes in Flint or we could meet up some weekend for lunch/cruise/etc.

I think WHPLASH needs to stick to racing bolt-on C5's until he fixes the driver mod

That's the big problem with driving someone elses car, unfortunately.

Thanks for posting the vid!
