Default '99 T/A vs. Evo X

*Cliff notes at the bottom*

Around 1 am I pull out of KMart and an Evo 10 pulls past me. We both catch a red light...i see him grin...i wanna run it but there is a car at the next stop light stopped in my lane (about 50 feet or so away) The light hits green and we both take off slowly and he gooses it a little bit. Im thinkin ok bro...just wait. We finally come along a straight road, and the said car is still in front of me....he passes it and i get behind him....as i pass the car he gets into the other lane....now im thinkin hell yeah this guy is definatly up for it. I pull up next to him and as him if he wants to run....he says sure no problem. I originally was ready to punch it from 50, but he kept slowing down...knowing he's AWD I go ahead and play his game and we slow it down to ~5mph. I tell him to honk it off...he does, and I wait for him to gun it...he gooses it and I put the petal to the floor! He mimics me, and immediatly pulls up to where my front bumper is at his back door, I'm thinkin ****, shift into second (get that nice little chirp from the tires) and start pulling his ***. About a car ahead I hit third and keep pulling. We shut down around ~95 (going into 4th gear) with me around 2 cars ahead. I put my thumb up and he does like wise. He pulls up beside me and asks if its a w6s...(lol) I just chuckle and say no...its faster! He says he understands why he lost now, and I tell him im puttin about 340 or so to the wheels so he should be able to catch up with a couple mods! He nods and says good run, and that his car is stock. Then we head our oppisate ways.

Great dude. Hott chick too!!

CLIFF NOTES:

Run evo 10 from ~5mph-~90 and win by ~2 cars

Evo was stock and my mods are in sig.

Good kill, those new EVOs are pretty strong rides. It's gonna be pretty damn quick once he gets a few choice mods.

So, you think it'd be a good race against a stock ls1 F-body?

I think not. Im full bolt on but my tune is still off. Im not putting out too much more power right now than a stock fbod. (I run my friend and beat him by maybe a car)

The fbod would still pull out from topend, and if it was from a dig you'd def have some catching up to do.

He had to have had a couple mods then...I hung with one in my stock M3.

I know that buddy...

What I meant is I give the EVO X props, but I don't think it's as good as the earlier models or that the 4b11t has the same potential as the 4g63t (or even close).

Well pal.....

Say good race or something besides what your preference is. Otherwise your hijacking the thread.
(Most of us here are car guys and know the differences between the two. And for the ones that don't, well there is a good chance they don't care. I'm just sick of blatant subject changing on kill stories.)

BUT IT'S SOOO EASY!

Plus we're still doing it right now

Nice kill OP. As for the other, other conversation going on (stock evo X v stock LS1 f-body);
The evo 9 is quicker then the evo 10 down the 1320.

In an E46 M3, you *should* be pulling an EVO up top, no matter the generation. Should be damn close in the 1/4 as well.
