All this talk about the "real" one is garbage. They're all real cars. The original was Ferrari's, no doubt about that. But, the most successful, and the most legendary, was Pontiac's. No doubt about that, either.
The 1964 Pontiac GTO started a decade of America's peak in the automotive world. And it's a big part of American culture- there would be no LS1tech.com without the '64 Pontiac GTO.
About the 3000GT, I love it. I got nothin against them, they're one of my favorite imports. You just gotta get some facts straight.

And my little 'not a pontiac, a real gto' was just a descriptive sentance that I though most people could understand, so, in light of the crowd here, I will place the implied words into the sentance;
Not a Pontiac [GTO], a real [j-spec] GTO.
I wrote 'a real GTO' because, unless you havent noticed, there are almost no true, real j-specs running around, and seeing a 'real' one in the USA is quite a sight.

Re: Killed a GTO You dont know what your talking about you jackass. It WAS a GTO from JAPAN. It WAS a JSPEC. The steering wheel was on the wrong side for cripes sake. IT WAS NOT A 3000GT, IF IT WAS, THE STEERING WHEEL WOULD BE IN THE US LOCATION, AND IT WOULD HAVE SAID 3000GT ON THE BACK.
