Tied? a C6
This is my first kill/death post, so bear with me...
So I'm driving on a two lane (each way) highway and I see a black C6 ahead a few cars and decide that I will see if he wants to show off his car. I change lanes and pass a few cars until I get even with him and we come to a red light. I look over and see that it's a fairly young guy (late 20's-early 30's). This intrigues me a little since in my experience, Corvette owners are usually middle aged guys that do not street race.
Anyway, we are both first at the light and once it turns green, I goose it a little to let him know that I want to play. He doesn't bite. We drive normally for about 3/4 of a mile and then we come to another red light. This time, I decide that I'm going to go for it whether he decides to race or not. Light turns green and I punch it and sure enough, so does he. He jumped out about a 1/2 a car on me and then I start to reel him in until we're about even. Now, I, in the left lane and he's in the right and his lane has to merge into mine, so I let off for safety's sake so that he can merge and I don't run him off the road. He speeds up and I figure that he's gone. About two or three miles down the road, He's in the left turn lane and I'm still going straight. We hit yet another red and he turns to me and says, "That thing's ******* fast, I'm impressed". Needless to say, I'm pretty damn happy. A C6 owner gave ME a compliment. I told him that he had a beautiful car and we were on our way.
SO... Before anybody calls BS, I have no reason to lie and was quite surprised with the outcome myself. ESPECIALLY since all I have is a Flowmaster cat back. If anybody could help me to understand this "race", that would be great! (And yes, he WAS racing!) I'm a 2000 Z28 A4

Killed the driver, basically. Nice kill regardless!
But LS2 A4s are hardly much quicker than a fast, basically stock Fbody. If it was an M6, he could have been short shifting, shifting slow, still getting to know his car. If a 6A LS3, he was just a bigger wus than we thought.

Hey guys, just wanted to say thanks for not calling bs on my post. I guess it just goes to show that even the unexpected can happen sometimes. And I couldn't honestly say if he was auto or manual.
Not having the driver mod seems like a pretty reasonable explanation, I just figured that you would have to be TERRIBLE to not kill me with a better performing car.
