C'mon, man. This site is enormous... you think no one has discussed the LS1 vs. LS2 before?
Look at this: https://ls1tech.com/forums/pontiac-gto-2004-2006/934379-gto-vs-f-bodies.html
And for future reference... "What if?" threads are not permitted.

6L GTO guys have really big heads... 340whwp vs. your stock 300-320whp is a good bit but you have a weight advantage and something as simple as a gear swap will put you ahead... don't sweat it.
Gears are the equalizer.

From what I have read, the 6.0 is good for about a 13.3 stock and I think these ls1 f-bodies are good for like a 13.5 but that varies from car to car. Either way, if his car is stock and yours is stock, he wins. Put one or two decent mods and you may have him. In the end there is only one way to find out. RACE HIM AND SHUT HIM UP!!!!! Hope that helps.
