sorry to jump in on this. but my nearly stock camaro hasn't had any problems with any stock GTO maybe its all conditions.
i have a friend that has a PBM 04 GTO runs almost 13 flat around 109 which i guess for a stock GTO its pretty good. and i have no problem what-so-ever.

I enjoy these threads.
I think with an Ls1 GTO vs. an earlier Ls1 F-body (98-00 or so) the F-body will come out on top as long as there's a driver there almost 9 times out of 10. LS2 GTO vs. any F-body I think its a drivers/conditions race.
Bottom line its all relative. All are great cars with there strength's weaknesses no matter the year or transmission. Yet this topic is all relative and opinionated to an extent.
Keep the opinions coming, please, thats mine and what I've seen in my personal experience.

I've never lost to a stock f body. My buddy is on this forum and hes got a 95 lt1 formula with full exhaust, ported tb, cai and tune making 300rwhp, 340awtq. I walk him every time.
My other friend has a light body z28 6 speed. Its either a '99 or '00 and hes got 4.10 gears and pull 3 cars on him from 70-125.
I have a stock '06 gto m6.

Each car is different and each driver is different. Some LS1 f-bodies put down as much power as a stock LS2 GTO, both drivers being of the same skill who do you think will win? The f-bodies have less weight and a solid rear.
This thread is a waste, do a search.

When i was stock (06 GTO M6), i would walk stock SS's consistantly. With just my N/A cam (Streetsweeper HT) i would walk full bolt-on F-bodies. Now I just walk alot of stuff, not many Daily driving 515hp+ cars around here....

Weird, when my 02 ss was bone stock I had no problem walking on stock GTO's. Mine was an m6 with 3.42's, lid and a catback.
