Default FlashLCD33 stall/gears VS WS6R6 ls6/boltons/405rwhp - VIDS!

Well WS6R6 and I decided to go out for some runs with our **** while they're still slow. Mods will be soon (hint-somebody buy one of my vehicles!) for both of us.

My car-
2000 Z28 a4
Performabuilt lvl2
Yank pt4000
3.73
ported/polished TB
LS6 intake
MTI lid
275 street tires (didn't bother changing to my radials for friendly races)
dynomouth catback
untuned

His car-
02 WS6 m6
Crate LS6
lt/ory/b&b/cutout (open)
full suspension
9" / 3.90
fast 90/nw90
slp lid
315 street tires
405rwhp/383rwtq (speed inc dyno'd)

Chase vehicle is a 04 Magnacharged 5.3 RCSB Chevy truck. Damn fast truck for what it is, we killed an SRT10 RCSB truck with it the other night.

First (best) run. 25-115. We both launched great, i was about a half car in front of him untill 100 or so when he started walking past me pretty good. He was 1/2 - 1 car in front of me by 115 when I let off.

Second (worst) run. 20-70ish. I spun bad, finally stopped at 50 or so, gave up by 70. No point in playing chase.

Third (short) race. 25-70. We both took off good, but started coming up to a hill and let off early. I was about 1/2 car in front of him when we shut off

His car looks, sounds, and runs great. The stall in my car definitely helps a lot, and it runs pretty good for what it is. I do best from a slow roll or stop with the radials on, but we both agreed to rolls since we were both on our street tires.

I'm ready to get headers/ory/tune on my car, then a cam swap. Can't wait to see how it runs then.

Yeah the other two were short/messups, but at least there is some video up. Anyone else have comments? This goes to show how a stalled auto makes a big difference. If I were a 6spd, I would have been WALKED because of his hp. I am guessing I'm around 320rwhp or less, so he has an 80rwhp difference over me.

Ummmmm......405 rwhp with just bolt ons? The stall and gears would hurt the RWHP too.

Crate LS6 motor brand new from GM, longtubes, ory/cutout, B+B catback, UD pulley, FAST 90/NW90
https://ls1tech.com/forums/dynamometer-results-comparisons/974691-02-ls6-ws6-dyno-tune-speed-inc-today.html

Dyno sheet in that thread.

Yeah my stall/gears and few mods I'd say I'm at 320rwhp or less.

You'll love it. I honestly dont think I could ever drive another auto without one. 4k may be a bit much, i would probably do a 3600 if i were to buy one. It's really not bad, but sometimes it's a little loose.

Very nice vid's! That truck is the spawn of Satin. Friday when we raced at the strip all I could hear was a sick *** whine from this truck pounding me from the tree to the 1/8th mile mark. Badass. The 2.73's and stock stall are no match for a 4WD launch.

Look forward to seeing you guys back down again!

You need a stall bad!! You can shave about 6-7 tenths from your time if you had one.. You can call PTC, tell them what you have and they will build you a stall to fit your car. Thats what I did and I am running 11.30@120mph with a 60ft 1.54. I'll have the car in the 10's before the end of the year!! Oh and nice runs OP

Wow that was awsome. The first run was very nice, and the others were still fun to watch too. That was definitely one of the best set of vids I have seen in awhile. Safe road, sweet cars, awsome chase vehicle (bad *** truck) and it wasn't Michael J. Fox holding the camera.
Thanks dude.

Lol.

I'm in the process of getting gears and a 4k stall, should have both by opening next year. Can't wait!

Hey thanks man. We wanted a daytime vid from a decent camera with a chase car. Nothing is worse than seeing blurs in the night drive past a stationary person at 100+.

The truck is absolutely sweet, and a major sleeper. From behind, it looks like your average clean chevy truck. He consistently runs low 13s in 2500+DA, and it can do that on the street dead hooking from a dig in 4wd. In 2wd it's scary.

He just blew up the rear end right after we got back from the track.. what luck. We drove an hour to the track, he raced it 5 times or so, drove it an hour back.. then kills the rear when he gets on it from a roll on the street. 10 bolt, go figure.

That thing will easily walk ls1s from a stop or a slow roll.

It's a good time, can't wait to do it again after modding.

It will be a different car, lol! Your car really chokes on the line, but picks up hard on the big end.

I ordered headers! Well see what kind of gain they give, and re-race.
