I'm pretty sure he has to run 116 on 20lbs and the turbo is an S362 produced by BorgWarner Turbo and Emission system (Where I currently have a job). I know the turbo extremely well, because I put it in and matched it to his motor.

Like you said, dyno numbers really do not matter, and they vary from dyno to dyno and temp, etc at the time of the dyno. Try not to get hung up in them.

With your mods and your 4.10s, I would expect 450 or slightly less. It takes aftermarket castings to see high 400s usually. Put in a 9" and that will reduce you as well.

dyno numbers and 1/4 ETs do not really tell the performance of the engine, it's all about the roll on power and the 1/4 mph.

What do you mean by casting? I'm slightly confused. Is it the heads?

I don't know much about import cars in general, but I can tell you 9/10 fast supras are single turbo.

ProjectD - sounds like a fun car my friend.
Over 400hp, under 2800lbs. It's anabsolute blast!

won't need 116 if he is running running on e-85, or injecting alky, What size is the exhaust A/R on his? There was another FD guy running that turbo with a 1.15 A/R and he put down 560 to the wheels. but IIRC he was running 27psi and c116 sonot quite the same setup lol. Also I'm curious, what shop do you work at? Not too many roatary shops arround.

I'm not actually sure but I think it is a .83 a/r with a 76mm turbine wheel. Oh and I don't work at a shop. I'm just a college student doing an engineering co-op at BorgWarner. I do most of the work at my house. I install all of my parts.

IC. Sounds like he has mid 400hp setup. When is this race going down? and how much is at stake if you don't mind me asking?

Should be a good run

No way in hell what you listed will get you 480-490 RWHP. I'd say 440-450 is closer to what I'd expect, if that.

Granted, I wouldn't even place a healthy wager on the RX-7 staying together for long at those power levels, unless he is really on top of his ****.

If his car is running like it should, he should drag your *** down the road. He'll have more power and a lighter car.
