So i get outta work and im all excited that i left at 3:30 instead of 6:00 so i take off my T-Tops get on the NYS thruway to go home, and what do i happen to see crusin in the middle lane waiting to eat but other than a brand new viper. Big SRT-10 on the back of it, exhaust coming out of the sideskirts you know the deal.. Gorgeous car He looks at me and points at his ears that he heard my car. I smile and give him a thumbs up. He drops down to around 35mph as do i. I wait for him to hit it and i go on him. Dead even thru 2nd. Grab third and i walk on him pretty moderately. We shut down at the end of third because of traffic. He looked at me. Smiled, gave me a big thumbs up and we went our seperate ways. So by the top of third i had around a car and a half on him.

 

Sounds like a sick run with a badass car! I haven't been so lucky yet...

all mods and HP are in my sig. Idk what year it was It looked had the newer style ones, no exhaust out back,exhaust was in the sideskirts. and all newer badges.... I was on below 1/4 tank gas as well so i guess that helped a little and i only weigh 160. It was also a vert viper

Nice kill. The 08's (600hp) are as strong if not stronger than C6Z's so Im confident it was the 06 500hp version.

 

oh alright. It must have been a pre-06 then. It looked brand new. He must not have driven it very often.. did the 06's have side exhaust's? it's bad i have a 450+ hp car. im 20 yrs old and im already getting bored with the power. im looking into other options. Guys dont judge me as a spoiled young kid bc im 20 and have moderately modded ls1. I work 50 hours a week and go to school. I dont take handouts from anyone, including my parents

 

yeah it must have been pre 06.

the newest ones already weigh less than you (less than 3400 lbs) and have more horsepower too (over 500 to the wheels)

The pre 08 Vipers put down around 440 rwhp, so that would absolutely be possible. Good kill!
