Hard to convert to 4-link rear?
Ok i found a cheap project car (93 LT1) and wanted to do a budget build. So to save money on a rearend i was wondering, how hard would it be to use a 8.8 and the full 4-link from a late 90's mustang?
I have seen at least 5 on ebay for less than 250, they are all complete drop out rears, including arms, shocks, brakes, swaybar etc. That is a hell of alot cheaper than buying a 12bolt or 9"

Also, this is my personal opinion, but i think that the rear suspension systems in the mustangs are not as good as the suspension systems in out cars, because in our cars each of the suspension pieces are only doing one job, the torque arm only controls the axle rotation and the panhard rod controls the lateral (side to side) movement of the axle. On the mustangs the control arms on it do two jobs which is axle rotation and lateral movement, so when you really get to putting alot of stress to them they dont do as good as a properly set up 3 link rear end would. I learned this by looking on a mustang forum, and suprisingly there are quite a few that converted to a torque arm/panhard rod setup like our cars have.
