Default brake pedal feels soft, w/ more travel

Hi guys, I have a 00 SS with 60k miles on it. I just replaced the front pads about 1-2 months ago and had the rotors resurfaced (GM ASE tech friend helped). Within the past few weeks I've noticed that upon initially hitting the brakes (not hard) that the pedal seems to feel softer and, could be my imagination, seems to have more travel before I get a good bite into the brakes. Any ideas? I was thinking maybe getting braided lines to stiffen up my pedal feel but if something else is causing this I want to address that first. Thanks!

Have you tried bleeding the brakes?
