Big Bird, I appreaciate the explaination. I didn't mean to offend by any means, but I do like to bust chops a bit so thanks for being a good sport. Lots of people who are well informed don't always feel like explaining the details, including myself because they've done it a lot before or just don't have time to. A lot of your recent responses didn't have the reasons why, but that definitely helps.

^ ^ ^ ^ if that was the case BMR extreme LCA would not be made out of poly.
call bmr and ask how much et is different between rod end and poly. they have done alot of r&D about that.
also the best thing of the jj. is easy to rebuild. DKT does it for cheap.
great ride.
great track
great wear(most last two to three years)
cheap rebuild compared to rod end. (new qa1 chromoly rod ends $40 each. or $8 to re build jj. you do the math)
seriously i don't think you could get anything better. and these are made it steel (light and heavy wall), chromoly, alumium, and titanuim.
ALL Around Best **** out there.
and you can get these form 6litereater. he has GP going on right now

rebuilding/maintenance aside, if I wanted something more track ready and hardcore than poly, but I didnt want to go as hardcore as rod end, would these then be just what im looking for?

Ok so this is what I think I know about these new JJ's...
-Looks like they will allow free movement of the axle with no bind
-Appears that they will dampen noise better than all rod ends
As far as I know a rod/poly will also accomplish the same thing. Here's where I'm not convinced yet:
-That they won't increase weight over other arms
-2-3 years stated above I wouldn't consider as long lasting before needing rebuilding
Not saying that they aren't a great piece... they probably are. Though I'm going to need more convincing before I go run out and buy these other than "Dude, these JJ ends are just better than all other arms because they're new and they're like awesome dude".

Totally understandable, I wouldn't buy any parts for my car that way, I would do some thorough research myself; and I have.
Actually the poly/rod-end don't accomplish the same thing, because they still don't allow full articulation of the rear suspension, and they're not completely quiet; I've been there, done that. And as far as weight being a factor I would say yes if our Firebirds and Camaros had IRS; but they don't. Your wheel/tire weight, and your 10 bolt,12 bolt, or 9inch rearend will be a lot bigger factor then your control arm weight.
IMO, poly/rod-end is still a unacceptable compromise, at least to me.
Furthermore, the only other company that currently offers a comparable product is J&M (LCAs with Extreme Joint bushings, and 3 Piece Poly-Ball Bushings.).
Have a "totally awesome weekend dude!"

-well, i have ran shity rod ends. good rod ends, great rod ends, and lot of LCAs. form poly to poly, to poly/rod. to rod/rod. and alot of the big names. bmr, umi, spohn, **** form ebay.
-all i can say is i will never go back to a stardard rod end.
-alot of people say you need rod end for drag racing. with that was the case, BMR extreme LCA wouldn't be poly on both ends.
-and for the road track guys. these things articulate as good as rod ends.
-it is the best of all worlds. drag, road, street, dirt
-and so i dont get yelled at. i have nothing against the big 3(BMR, UMI, Spohn) but they dont have anything like this on the market.
-Mark, for 6Litereater Designs is the company that is selling these on the forum. link is in my Sig,
-and for price on replacing these look at post 20 in this forum.

Someone correct me if I am wrong, but I do not think that you will get the same level of stiffness as rod ends with these joints as they still reside inside poly. What you will get though is the articulation. For racing applications that want the least amount of deflection, rod ends are still the ticket.
